  1. He looks good. Hopefully he can stay healthy and show out if Young gets dinged up.
  2. I can’t see us winning less than 10 games. We have the best coaching staff a rookie QB has ever been surrounded with, a solid offensive supporting cast, a better line than any first overall pick QB has lined up behind…. And Bryce day 1 should be a significant improvement over the QB play we had the past few years. We upgraded significantly at QB and coaching over last year and our team won 7 games. These changes should result in at least 3 additional wins. Anything less would make me question the staff.
  3. I linked multiple articles saying he’d go first overall above. Not just one. Including one from NFL scouts and coaches on The Athletic.
  4. I’m only bringing him up, still, because Casillas keeps replying. For the record, I never pitched us drafting him or thought we were in the running for him. We should be picking too far back to be in range of him. Young is our QB and I support him. That doesn’t mean I have to put blinders on and pretend he’s not without flaw or that there aren’t better PROSPECTS out there than him.
  5. It’s not about the beginning of the year. Caleb Williams finished college football this year as the best QB in college football. And that’s why he was awarded the awards. Bryce was terrific. Caleb was just better. And he’s a better pro prospect due to his size, arm strength and speed compared to Bryce. That’s why there’s many articles like this: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-all-eligible-nfl-mock-draft Bears, and I agree, would not have traded out of first overall if Caleb was on the board. And they’d take him with Fields on the roster. Here’s another about how Caleb would have been the first pick in this class and even last years class: https://247sports.com/Article/Caleb-Williams-would-be-first-QB-selected-in-2023-or-last-years-NFL-Draft-if-eligible-analyst-says-200236324/ https://clutchpoints.com/usc-football-news-jordan-addison-caleb-williams-nfl-draft Here is an article on the athletic where they interviewed coaches: https://theathletic.com/4453949/2023/04/26/nfl-draft-quarterback-class-analysis/ Some preferred Stroud, some Young but even at the bottom there’s a quote where the person said Williams is significantly better than these prospects. By the time the season was over it was clear Williams was the best QB on any college field this year, Young included.
  6. Biggest Fields fan and I agree. I’d draft Williams over Fields. Or any QB in any recent class.
  7. Somebody said Bryce was the #1 QB in college. I pointed out Williams was better. So it was relevant to the conversation.
  8. Why are you so mad that folks point out that Caleb Williams is a better prospect than anyone in this class?
  9. No school has great QB history. Mac Jones looks like a bust and Tua can’t stay on the field. Didn’t scare us away from Young. Oregon was trash tier until Herbert. Even Burrow spent more time at OSU than LSU. Folks who judge guys off of the school they went to don’t evaluate tape.
  10. Im playing along with your joke.
  11. His tape is better. His arm is better. His legs are better. He has the weight you look for in an NFL QB. His height is fine for an NFL QB. There’s no doubt in my mind if Williams could enter this class he’d be the number one pick.
  12. He needs to be healthy for this whole season or he’s definitely getting the injury prone label and missing out on big money.
  13. If Caleb Williams was draft eligible he’d go #1 overall over Young.
  14. I haven’t been to any away games but I’m tempted to head to Atlanta this year.
  15. And all folks are saying is he has a stronger arm than Bryce. That doesn’t make him a better QB. Bryce just had a lower end or middling arm compared to his peers.
  16. It’s been five hours since my comment and not one person has provided any sort of list they think Bryce has a stronger arm than for sure. Literally every starting QB in the NFL can throw the ball 55-60 yards in the air. I can probably find college clips of any college QB making the throw that was just shown above.
  17. Oh this is an easy one. To showcase the point: I request you list the NFL Starting QBs that Bryce clearly has better arm strength then. Mahomes, Herbert, Rodgers/Wilson, Allen, Carr/Watson, Hurts, Love, Fields, Lance/Darnold, Richardson, Stroud, Jackson, Burrow, Lawrence, Murray, Watson all have clearly stronger arms that Bryce. That’s like half of the NFL teams right there I wouldn’t even put up for much debate. So if he’s not in the top half who does he have a stronger arm then? And I’m sure I missed guys from the list. Like is his arm for sure stronger than Dak or Cousins? That’s up for debate. How many starting QBs in the NFL have, clearly, weaker arms than Bryce? I think some folks are being caught up in defending our guy and not looking objectively at what is being critiqued. He can 100% be an elite QB in the NFL if he stays healthy. That doesn’t change the fact his arm strength is middling at best when it comes to comparison against his peers. The reason one would indeed worry about arm strength is all QBs are going to get dinged up throughout a season. When you have elite arm strength and you lose a little zip you still have great or good arm strength and you can work with that. If you start with “average” arm strength and lose some if you get dinged up it becomes bad. And lesser velocity gives defenders more time to react and jump routes. It also affects timing with the WRs. But again, I’d love to see a list of folks who are projected to be NFL starters that we can point to and say Bryce clearly had a stronger arm than them. 32 starters. He’s likely sitting somewhere between 20-32.
  18. Yeah I’m not disputing anything of what you’re saying about other QBs. They don’t NEED cannons. However, just because an elite arm isn’t required to be a goat tier QB it doesn’t cancel out the fact that Bryce has middling arm strength. Both things can be true.
  19. Well the first two shouldn’t be considered silly. His arm is average for an NFL QB. As is his athleticism. His processing, however, is said to be elite.
  20. Had we taken Stroud, Levis or Richardson I’d still be saying wait and see until they’ve stepped into an NFL game and thrown passes.
  21. We knew Trevor was a competent QB…. In college. Year one in the NFL did not make him look competent. Let’s not crown guys before a single pro snap. Everyone is pooing a dude here who had a sane take of waiting to call him competent lol.
  22. I think we have our guy as well. I always felt whoever was lucky enough to get drafted by us was going to succeed with this coaching staff.
