Boone is pretty much confirming the dime a dozen cliche for RBs. I’d probably keep him over Sanders right now. They won’t.

I know it’s hard and won’t say more after this post if you let it go by without challenging me to where I feel a need to respond. I know enough to understand poo that is ‘private’ is usually embarrassing type poo. Drug addiction, criminal family member gets in trouble, wife having affair in your face… you we’re having an affair in the wife’s face. Or a family member is murdered, which is a ‘popular’ one the last few years. Why that would be embarrassing though, I don’t know. Never mentioned it until now, it is reaching a point where concern becomes justifiable.

The part where only a couple of people said things, could be argued. According to my memory it was far more than a couple of people saying not nice things to those ignorant and nasty Bryce deniers. Should have kept that only positive comments allowed thread

Seems like every time I look he is missing and it’s a personal matter. Which mostly are dental appointments and stuff.
-
He seems to be on the right track. It’s a big job not many do it well. If he can actually call plays and HC while winning games… go for it. edit - we’ll have to judge him off his QB rehab too, seems like a lot is expected.

Watching it now. A couple of typically critical reactions are wtf with the analytics guy dictating in game decisions? The 4th down conversion. And what a clusterfug looking play throwing to an area where two targets converge, with their coverage. I am laughing a little bit that it worked. That is gonna have to be straightened out. Young’s footwork looks much better, yes it does. The people chasing him when he is moving around will be faster and maybe more determined when we get into it for real. And Damien Lewis again… I am all for personal days and what have you, compassionate treatment of employees, and their privacy… but someone explain to me what kind of personal situation allows basically the whole camp and preseason off? Just, what is that important that is so much more important than the millions of dollars you are getting to be involved and relied on at your workplace? I have been there on some really tough ‘do I dare go do my job while this is going on?” situations myself and have compassion but I am starting to get frustrated with Damien (how they are handling it). What is so personal that we can’t be told so as to have some understanding of why he is so often unavailable? I mean most people would cut him slack for a reasonable excuse… so why the secrecy at this point? Can’t make games? Need a good reason.

Thank you. I hope it was something you needed bro. That’s life but so often you are not allowed to fail but once.

I was thinking all the reps he got and attention during the week, is gold. Most players don’t ‘get’ to suck and get chance two and chance three unless you are a high pick. you can get a lot done with failure and taking another try and repeating that process.

The hate… lol. My feelings are hurt. If it weren’t for double standards……

Yeah he was great. Those blocked kicks alone vs TB, epic. Historical for the franchise afaic. DT was a wasteland after him and Buckner, for too many years.
-
I have had a good feeling about him as a football coach. (maybe he will suck) I think he is pretty sharp. I think he and Morgan are tight and things that happen happen by agreement. That is all you want in your day to day decision making. I always say seven years but I think they might do better if given a little time. So that could be worse.

Yes, happy for all the rostered players to earn a win, and to enjoy the feeling. That is a need. Canales’ first too. I don’t feel worse about him.

I am behind real time but just saw the 3rd and short they did it again, with a hookup I love that poo. If you are not afraid of failing to make it on the next down you can do that stuff.
-
Not paying much attention but there is a spot where it was 3rd and 1 in 2 down territory. They went to the end zone on the 3rd and 1. They missed but I like the return of that thinking.

Plummer stays in to placekick.

Yeah this is what Dalton is being paid for. A big part. you expect him to handle this part of things. Plummer is getting such an education, and being paid.

I cut the cable out and Panthers.com promised you could watch the game there. fug no I couldn’t and I am in the home team TV area. Signed up for a free trial, by the time I got that done the one drive was over. What was the first play they ran?

Remaining schedule until the start of the season

Lol yep I am getting close. -
Coach… I’d pick Fox even though he gets big points taken off for 2010. And a couple other things. His first two years were great.

Couldn’t they do that accounting thing where you front load the heck out of it and if he can’t stay on the field you can get out after two years without killing your budget? -
I really could not care less once I thought about it and understood that - I believed - the team was not going to compete for postseason play, this season. From the starters playing or not, the draft picks starting right away, or not, I don’t see the urgency to do anything this year besides give Young his fair evaluation. Which much effort has been made towards that. If it is between a low ceiling immediate starter, as opposed to a higher ceiling work up to being a starter type, I am fine with picking a guy to be a starter in 2025. We had FA for starters this year fwiw, also. we have all season to work this out. The thought about how long the OL takes I agree with. Judge them after 6 or 8 games. which would be in the time frame for Brooks to be ready too. Then maybe we could better see what the 2025 team could look like. We aren’t going to see that this week or game 1, for that matter. It’ll be fun seeing what it looks like for 2024 yes it will, good or bad.

I don’t think receiving TEs, if that is what Sanders is, should be expected to come in fully formed ready to do the entire job, as a 4th rounder. Happy to hear Wallace is looking pretty good, I didn’t know anything about him before the draaft but liked what I saw and read well enough. And was thinking Morgan should know a LB when he sees one. So, good, maybe that wasn’t a fug up after all. I don’t really mind taking lower floor but higher ceiling guys that may take a year longer to be ready. Not in this situation, it is just not a one year fix.
