  1. ND promoted their DC to HC yesterday. That ship has sailed.
  2. A lot of players who have played well in the past aren't playing well. Hmmm... sure seems like more of a coaching problem than widespread individual player problem to me.
  3. George Clooney's comments lead me to believe this level of firearms idiocy is not commonplace on film sets. "Every single time I'm handed a gun on the set, every time they hand me a gun I look at it, I open it," Clooney told Maron on the November 15 episode. "I show it to the person I'm pointing it to, I show it to the crew. Every single take, you hand it back to the armorer when you're done." What Clooney said makes perfect sense. That's how someone with a decent understanding of firearms safety would handle such a situation. Baldwin's response to that on national television? "If your protocol is you check the gun every time, well, good for you." Fuging YIKES. Anyone with a basic understanding of firearms safety is just left gobsmacked by a statement like that. Y'all, I don't give a fug about political leaning. I give zero fugs about the Democratic or Republican parties and I honestly think the modern definitions of political "right" and "left" basically translate to "hopelessly ideologically confused". That is just stunningly blatant disregard for firearms safety following a fatal shooting when you were holding the gun. The prosecutor knows they'll be up against the absolute best legal defense money can buy and that will unfortunately play a major role here in whether or not charges are ultimately filed, but honestly... if this prosecutor has any guts charges are getting filed. At minimum he's guilty of gross negligence and possibly others on the set as well.
  4. Jesus Christ. Seriously, do y'all have the slightest idea about basic firearm safety? If anyone hands you a gun, the first thing you do is check the chamber. Is it loaded? It doesn't matter if they tell you it's not loaded. You absolutely assume that it is until you confirm for yourself that it is not. He openly admitted several times that he did not do that. Granted, maybe that's acceptable on a movie set. If so, that needs to change. That's firearm idiocy. That's not political. That's just basic firearms safety 101. He claims he never squeezed the trigger. They're gonna put that gun through the ringer. If they can't duplicate an accidental discharge there's gonna be a BIG problem with his story.
  5. I watch a little bit of that finger pointing blame everyon e except me session last night. Holy poo, what a disaster. Anyone with even a basic understanding of firearm safety sees red flags all over his statements. Surely his attorney has signed proof that he/she advised him to absolutely not do this.
  6. Simply having Sean Payton puts the Saints miles ahead of us.
  7. Anytime someone gets shot, the media claims it's an AR or a Glock. Anytime someone gets dog bit, the same media claims it was a pit bull. No one is clicking on articles about a lab biting someone. Even the "experts" get it wrong. https://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/2016/02/17/dna-studies-reveal-that-shelter-workers-often-mislabel-dogs-as-pit-bulls/ Now tell those same "experts" this dog has bitten someone and the "identified as a pit bull" odds probably jump to 100%.
  8. The coaches change but the baffling approach to OL depth charts doesn't.
  9. Fug the Saints. We ain't going anywhere anyway.
  10. 6' 197... sure sounds like a corner to me. That's basically Jaycee Horn.
  11. Agreed. But hey, don't feel bad. He might have fooled us too but at least he didn't swindle us out of tens of millions of dollars. Tepper has to realize at this point that he basically got taken by a con man. That's gotta be rough on the old ego.
  12. The mid-tier SEC programs are stepping stone jobs for a reason. You might be able to have a good season or two but sustained success is going to be practically impossible going up again the Alabamas, LSUs, and Georgias of the world. Might as well leverage that good season or two into landing a job where sustained success is a lot more probable.
  13. Any vet QB with other options is going to choose another option, just like Stafford.
  14. It won't hold. We'll pull some late season W out of our ass to tank our draft position and save Rhule's job. It's the Panthers way.
  15. It'll be the first move he's gotten right as an NFL owner.
  16. I'm gonna be honest, the biggest reservation I have about firing Matt Rhule is that David Tepper will be heavily involved in hiring his replacement.
  17. He absolutely needs to go. He's taken enough of a beating without pay. Love that kid.
  18. Don't quote me but Howell isn't a lock to enter the draft. I'm hearing mom is pushing him to go but he wants to play another year at UNC. He doesn't want to end on this note.
  19. If he wants OU I don't see them waiting around to see if he finishes faceplanting. Tepper just needs to tell him to pursue it. Dude is trash in the NFL. Hell, he very well may prove to be trash at the high NCAA level.
  20. Without financial discipline you're fuged no matter what. That's why so many lottery winners go broke. Millions won't save you from sheer idiocy.
  21. Shiiiiiiii... I have an 800+ credit score and money is practically free right now. Take all that old "pay cash for everything and finance as little as you can" advice and throw it out the window in recent years. You can get better return on that cash than you're gonna pay on interest. Strategic debt is not a bad thing at all as long as you have financial discipline.
  22. Does Venables even want to be a HC? I think he's the highest paid assistant coach in college football. He makes more than most head coaches.
  23. I've honestly lost interest until Rhule and company are gone.
