The question is why would the Pats spend like drunken sailors this off-season and not sign him?
-
Yep. Seems like the Pats are almost baiting someone into giving them a 2nd or maybe he was wanting way more than they were willing to pay and they're looking for someone else to negotiate the contract for them.

Just for comparison's sake, Dannon cancelled Cam Newton's sponsorship deal less than 24 hours after the Jourdan Rodrigue "routes" incident.

It's definitely odd that sponsors aren't bailing left and right and teams are being reported as still interested. The timing of all this always stunk to high heavens. The lawyer having in the past claimed connections to the McNairs always stunk to high heavens. On the flip side, well over a dozen accusers also stinks to high heavens the other direction. Very weird situation and I have no idea what to make of it.

WTF.. PFF Draft: Pitts goes #4, We get Wilson at #8
LinvilleGorge replied to CanadianCat's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
Typical PFF so in love with their own rating system that they ignore reality, but hey that sure would be sweet. -
Kyle Pitts as a WR/TE Good for Carolina ?
LinvilleGorge replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Pitts is a helluva prospect. Probably the most dynamic TE prospect since Vernon Davis. With that said... we need a fuging QB. He'd be a waste if we don't address that. #8 needs to be about a QB. Either drafting one or trading for assets to get a QB next year. -
I never cared for Darnold as a draft prospect and nothing has changed my opinion on him so far in the NFL. Maybe he will resurrect his career elsewhere, bit I'd greatly prefer to look draft first.
-
That's what I had. Never again. Not even for free.
-
Yep. I agree, Jones is the Subaru pick. I had a Subaru as a company provides vehicle. Simply awful. It's impressive to create a vehicle that is so bad at everything.
-
Yeah, it wasn't intended as a knock. That's a damn good living.
-
Maybe someone will take him there but I'm definitely not seeing a lot to work with in terms of a starter. I could definitely see him being one of those 10+ year career backups who have spot starting appearances in the mold of a Derek Anderson.

If we want to run this style of defense we better find us an Earl Thomas type of FS.
-
This isn't even clever trolling at this point.
-
It's way too early in the day to be this drunk. You're all over the place.

Great college QB. 100%. Zero argument. Not a great NFL prospect. There's a big difference. You're caught up in your feels because he plays for your favorite college team.
-
No you weren't. You specifically tried to talk about "measurables". His lack of measurables is why a great college QB is going to end up being a mid-round pick.
-
Measurables? LOL! Trask has a noodle arm and concrete blocks for feet.
-
The only way we're getting #4 from a division rivals is if they feel like they're absolutely fleecing us. It would probably take an RG3 type trade.
-
Cool.
-
Drafting Trask earlier than the 4th would be a reach. Trading back into the 1st to draft him probably gets you fired before the 2nd round starts.
-
Taking a TE in the top 10 and drafting KYLE TRASK with a trade up into the late 1st? I think Fitterer wants to keep his job at least until he can make it to the regular season.

Go on record. Who still wants Watson?
LinvilleGorge replied to Sasquatch's topic in Carolina Panthers
One thing is for sure, you very rarely see a prospect of this caliber as the 3rd QB off the board. If we've identified him as the guy, I'm fine with trading up to get him. -
I'm fine with trading up if we've identified a specific target. If we stay at 8 and the "big four" are gone, trade down is by far and away my #1 option with the ultimate goal of getting an additional 1st next year. We're going to be in the same boat again if needing a QB, we'll need all the draft ammo we can get.
