I mean... you're not wrong. Gotta be honest. You ain't wrong. It's not a coincidence that all of a sudden Texas became super relevant again after years of floundering around.

Don't disparage college football like that. LOL
-
They're just desperately trying to tap into college fanbases to rekindle their own because they realize they've done nothing but drive away the classic Panthers fans. It's why they have an App State all-time great pound the drum. It's why they have Fan Fest at Clemson.

My interest is absolutely at an all-time low. I watched most of our first preseason game and didn't even realize when our second one was on because I flat out didn't care. I paid minimal attention to camp rumblings for the same reason. We'll see what it looks like week one but of we look like microwaved dog poo again I won't wait until midway through the season to tune out this year. I'm not subjecting myself to watching bad football again. I'll watch other games.

Our all time greats at every position

DeAngelo had a 1500 yard 18 TD season. It ain't no coin flip. -

I don't know what y'all are thinking with JStew. He was a good RB but the guy only had one 1000 yard season in his career. -
Yeah, it really doesn't make any sense for them either. Front office and/or coaching staff must be on the hot seat.
-
I mean, how can anyone be surprised when David Tepper's Panthers do mind numbingly dumb things? That's just oar for the course. You don't just accidentally become the worst franchise in the league. It takes a series of blunders.

$10M on a 33 year old stop gap CB would've been a terrible decision for a team likely to be drafting in the top 10 again.

Inactives: Starters get the night off against Jets

Worst team in the league acts like they're too good for the preseason while the reigning champs are doing poo like this http://twitter.com/NFL/status/1824906994739786161 -

Honestly, it's probably as much about delaying the inevitable embarrassment for as long as possible as it is about any actual strategic approach. As long as we're playing scrubs we can act like it'll be so much better once we're playing our starters and game planning. You know, kinda like we were doing this time last year. -

It's not like this team needs the work. It's far smarter to protect our starters from injury and not derail this likely Super Bowl run. -

When you don't prepare properly you're probably going to be unprepared. We'll see how it goes this year. -

We approached preseason last year like it didn't matter and we had it all figured out. That ended up in us handing the #1 overall pick to Chicago to get DJ Moore a QB. -
If you think there's a potential franchise QB available and you don't have a long-term franchise QB on the roster, you almost have to take him. Kirk Cousins is 35 and coming off a torn Achilles. That's no sure thing in the short-term and almost certainly isn't a long-term solution. I have a lot of questions about Penix in the NFL. His arm isn't much better than Bryce's. But if it works out they're gonna look brilliant. If it doesn't, it's not like they mortgaged the franchise to get him.
-
If Penix works out they're setup to run the division for the foreseeable future. The first team to land a quality young QB is going to have a massive competitive advantage in the NFC South.
-
This is why I want Bryce to boom or continue to bust this year. We need an answer. Worst case scenario is he marginally improves and every thread is still devolving into a pissing contest about Bryce Young.

Why Dave Canales needs live reps with his first-team?
LinvilleGorge replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't care about the process. If it gets the results then whatever. If we start out 0-4 looking like trash then it'll be fair to start criticizing the preseason approach. -

A little? He's relying on scratch off lottery tickets to pay his rent at center. LOL -
BREAKING: Stephon Gilmore update!
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
So? I'd do the same thing. I hate to break it to you, but we're the dregs of the league right now. Anyone with other options is gonna choose another option. The only free agents we're getting are the ones with no other options or the ones we're willing to significantly outbid the competition to sign. It is what it is. -

If no one is offering good money might as well sit around and wait to see if someone goes down on a contender and all of a sudden his market changes. Vets HATE training camp anyway. Might as well skip as much of it as you can or potentially even all of it. -
https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/nc-court-appeals-reverses-course-marijuana-smell-searches/2FRDE6MD65G7ZD75PO6HOBE4NU/?outputType=amp “If you’re a trained officer who can testify yes, I know how to identify this stuff by sight and smell, that’s enough for probable cause to search somebody and that’s all you need to prove at trial either – the officer’s just word that this is marijuana,” said Phil Dixon, an attorney who now teaches at the University of North Carolina School of Government. “From the perspective of people using hemp products, it certainly sets the standard that says you’re subject to search just for smelling like it. And whether it’s hemp or marijuana, that’s for the officer to investigate, and if they’re wrong about it, and charge you anyways, well you can prove the difference at trial,” Dixon told Channel 9′s Evan Donovan. Hey Phil, you gonna pick up all those legal fees bills? Motherfuger acting like it's just no big deal to be wrongfully indicted and have to hire attorneys to go to court to defend yourself. This is akin to charging anyone with a white powdery substance for cocaine possession and telling them, "Well, you can just go to court and argue there." There's a real simple solution to all this idiocy. A solution a lot of states have already approved.

When he climbed into the stands literally sobbing on mommy's bosom after a loss I was like... yeah, that ain't it. That ain't the dog that's gonna cut it in the NFL. Your whole rookie season is gonna feel like that in comparison to college. He ain't gonna make it through that.
