  1. The sellers are getting fleeced. We just need to hold what we've got.
  2. The guy is good. He isn't what he once was but he's a smart, great route runner, with great hands. Moving him to the slot has given him new life. He doesn't have the speed to win on the outside against starting corners anymore but slide him inside against nickels, safeties, and LBs and he can still eat.
  3. For sure. They need to just hand the reins over to Bieniemy and give him a test drive.
  4. If they weren't THE best they were among the best. 11.5 sacks between them.
  5. Yeah, there's no way Ron signed off on this. Having the best pair of edge rushers in the NFL was the only thing keeping a bad defense from being atrocious. Their secondary was already struggling mightily. They're gonna get absolutely LIT UP now.
  6. He is when he's healthy. He just isn't healthy often
  7. Define "improvement". I mean, ending up with 5 wins would still mean a significant improvement down the stretch but yeah, I'd probably still say that this front office needs to go. They made moves thinking they had positioned this roster much better off than reality has proven. We're pretty strapped on draft capital in the short term and are going to have to lean heavily on FA to compensate. These guys' two biggest FA signings this off-season were massive busts and have already lost their starting roles not even halfway through the season.
  8. The Bears trading a 2nd for Sweat definitely isn't overpaying. I honestly thought the Commanders probably should've traded Young instead. He's been their version of Jaycee Horn. Good when available but rarely available. Young could've probably fetched them more on the trade market and he'll be more costly to re-sign to boot. What surprises me is that the Bears were buyers on the market but I guess they are sitting pretty with draft capital right now.
  9. No one is bailing us out on those Sanders and Hurst gaffs. Why would anyone want guys who have lost their starting jobs to afterthoughts after they were brought in and paid to be dudes?
  10. If we think he's the right guy then give him the job. But I'm not gonna hang onto the wrong guys for fear of losing an underling in the process.
  11. I think everyone should be judged on their own merits. I mean, if you have a scout that was pounding the table for a bunch of guys that turned out to be good players, don't throw him out with the rest of the trash.
  12. From what I can tell it looks like it needs a total overhaul anyway so might as well get started. It won't be any quicker and easier after another year of bad moves and a deeper hole dug.
  13. I'm fine with firing them both. Our personnel moves both in FA and the draft have been net negatives.
  14. And making calls to trade up to draft a 25 year old rookie pass rusher in the 3rd who has bounced all over roster in college with his coaches desperately trying to find somewhere to utilize his physical talent because they haven't found anything that he's actually good at yet.
