  1. Ron would've played Cam through that.
  2. Yep. Holiday weekend. Opening week of college football. Packed stadiums and large cookouts held across the country. What could possibly go wrong?
  3. If he's unvaxxed just cut him and be done with it. Deonte Brown time.
  4. I don't see Brees. I think the Baker Mayfield comparisons are pretty apt. I chuckle that some people consider that an insult. I think Howell is more level headed though and throws a more accurate deep ball. Deep ball accuracy is Howell's #1 attribute.
  5. Ah, the "we'll get 'em next year mantra" that has worked out oh so well for the Panthers since '93.
  6. You damn straight I would. If they go the mediocre vet route again, I'd be done until Rhule and company were gone... which probably wouldn't be long.
  7. I honestly don't care about morale. That's a staff problem. If we end up with the #1 overall pick, morale should be low and there should be significant concern that we don't have the right pieces in place on the staff.
  8. The most disappointing thing to me is if we trot out subpar vets and leave guys like Brady Christensen and Deonte Brown riding the pine. If we want to roll with the vets at first, fine. But they should be on a really short leash because the youngsters have just plain looked better.
  9. The only resemblance between the two is the college jersey they wore. It's like comparing Baker Mayfield and Sam Bradford.
  10. If it went down like this then the Darnold experiment failed spectacularly. I could see us Howell'ing at #1 and howling at #33 as the Jets are on the clock with some tempting OL prospects still on the board.
  11. I can't see us being had enough to land the #1 overall pick but if we're not playoffs bound (insert Jim Mora gif here) this would be the best outcome for the long-term interests of the franchise.
  12. I know Slye sucks. Santoso may too, but I'll take the unknown over known trash.
  13. That's the thing with Jameis. You could be facing an MVP caliber QB or you could be facing a Dwayne Haskins level QB. You just never know which version of Jameis is gonna show up.
  14. Every team is better than expected if they can magically fix two of their biggest weaknesses. I think this writer is overlooking how sorry our interior OL has looked though. We aren't just a LT away from a good OL.
  15. What kind of mental illness is this?
  16. Please. I don't care what he said. He was in the grasp getting a windmilled by two defenders and he just panicked. There was zero logic involved.
  17. I can't imagine being THIS deeply invested in this situation as a non-Texan/non-Watson fan. I feel like a psychologist could have a field day with sizzle on this one.
  18. Honestly I think the guy did a pretty good job of highlighting five positives from the perspective of each fan base. Not bad if you ask me.
  19. Because the Texans have no plans to play him. If they announced him to start week one he'd probably be on the commissioner's exempt list 15 minutes later.
  20. Yeah, even if Wilson has a promising rookie year they look destined for another top 5 pick anyway. I just hope he doesn't get Burrow'd in the process.
  21. The Jets just have to focus on being able to field a team. They've been slammed by the injury bug already and now COVID? Oh wee mayne.
  22. I wish some of y'all had the self awareness to just not comment when you didn't watch the game. You see three interceptions and think you can throw shade, but you didn't see a receiver catch a pass and let a DB take it from him or the tipped ball. No one blames those INTs in the QB unless they didn't watch and just want to troll.
  23. I'm a fan. I'm just not delusional. We were both terrible last year. Lots of Jets fans are probably holding out hope for this game simply because of who our QB is. They know our OL is weak and they know very well what a pressured Darnold looks like.
  24. It's amazing how cocky some of our fan base is considering our overall losing record and three straight losing seasons. I mean, I sure hope we're headed in the right direction but I'm sure not feeling cocky right now.
  25. I hated the Teddy signing because it turned out to be exactly what I expected. A lot of money for a guy who would be just good enough to keep us out of reach of the top QB prospects. At least Darnold has boom/bust potential. I just hope it's one or the other. Be the answer or suck bad enough to get us the answer.
