Now that was a nice throw and catch. Replay showed he had his lick between Nailor and Jefferson. Nailor would've actually been the easier throw.

That is a big old extended windup and delivery McCarthy has. Probably why he's had so many balls batted and hit while throwing tonight.

Caleb Williams had a really nice first drive but has pretty much been ass ever since. Fortunately for him and the Bears, JJ McCarthy has been putrid rotten ass. LOL

McCarthy's calendar is running about 7 weeks ahead because he dressed up as Bryce Young tonight.

He's just seeing everything too slowly. This guy isn't even close to being ready and that's after being able to sit on IR all last year to watch and learn and study the system. It's very alarming.

Well, maybe less than a TD. They're close to FG range. McCarthy finally makes a good confident throw.

The FG is the right call. Sure doesn't seem like you're gonna need to win a shootout tonight and even if you convert there's less than 30 seconds on the clock.

At minimum shouldn't have traded Howell. McCarthy ain't ready and if he's not ready after a full year of being able to just focus on absorbing the offense you gotta wonder if he's every gonna be ready. Too early to panic if you're a Vikings fan but panicking is in the back of your mind.

If this playbook is all McCarthy is capable of doing they shouldn't be playing him. They're running a HS offense with the results you'd expect

If a DB tries to run through a receiver to get a ball it's pass interference every time. If a receiver tries to run through a DB to get a ball, it's still pass interference on the DB. That's clown world stuff.

Or just change the wording of the rule. A DB should not have to look for the ball to have a right to his position. They just need to clean up the verbiage.

By the rule it was, but they need to change that. The pass interference calls on horribly underthrown deep balls need to stop. Fighting back through a DB in better position to get to a ball uncatchable should not be rewarded with a flag. It's crap.
