  1. He's just too arrogant. He really thought this was gonna be easy. He probably still thinks that. Teddy and Darnold failed because of Joe Brady and their own shortcomings. Rhule just hasn't found the right people to properly execute his flawless vision. He's an idiot.
  2. No. I don't think Rhule could get to .500 with the Pro Bowl roster.
  3. Honestly, a rookie QB might buy him more time. Sign some retread vet and go 8-9 and you're probably fired. Go 8-9 with a rookie and you can legitimately argue you're on your way to building something.
  4. Fudging Brady Rules already in effect
  5. Because while these guys were talking about a rebuild and a five year plan their actions showed that they thought they could create a very fast turnaround.
  6. He's got it. The arm. The ability to buy time and scramble if necessary. The ability to make tough throws. The ability to deal with pressure. Clutch ability. People are falling into recency bias because UNC had a disappointing season but it wasn't because of Howell. Watch the player, not the team. I'm not a guy who hypes everyone from my team. I told everyone last year that Dyami Brown's draft hype was unwarranted because he was basically Ted Ginn Jr.
  7. A franchise QB on a rookie contract is the biggest cheat code in today's NFL.
  8. I don't care who the OC is. He's probably one and done anyway.
  9. Willis, Zappe, and Strong are who I'm most interested in seeing Senior Bowl week.
  10. He reminds me of Chase Daniel as a prospect.
  11. Yeah, I'd take a 1st team All-Pro OG over a 2nd team All-Pro QB.
  12. I'm looking forward to seeing Zappe during Senior Bowl week.
  13. That's a HUGE concern though. Especially coming off an injury that may lead to never getting back to 100%. I'm not bring petty. You're being unrealistic and extraordinarily revisionist.
  14. I absolutely agree. Go back and read through my posts here. I'm not trying to argue that you have to have a QBwith a cannon arm. I'm simply saying that these folks looking for this QB prospect who checks every single box are looking for the type of guy who comes along about once a decade. What's your odds of ending up #1 overall in that particular draft class?
  15. Yeah, a guy in Tua coming off a Bo Jackson'd hip was "can't miss".
  16. He has a good NFL arm, but a cannon? No, not even close. Yes - Allen, Herbert, prime Cam. That's a cannon.
  17. These folks would miss on Burrow because he doesn't have a cannon arm. They'd miss on Murray because he's too short. There are very few check every box QB prospects and they go #1 overall when they come along and the team sitting at #1 doesn't even listen to trade offers.
  18. I've said it until I'm blue in the face, but you aren't getting that type of guy at #6 anyway. So why keep harping on it? If you still believe in "can't miss prospects", can I interest you in some oceanfront property in Kansas?
  19. How can any long-term NFL fan still believe in the myth of a "can't miss prospect"?
  20. I vote Joe Pesci. This is the type of energy and honesty I need to hear out of the Panthers' announcer.
  21. No alpha... Dafuq does that even mean? That's something I imagine someone like Rhule saying to justify not drafting someone and then still reiterating it after the guy has an All-Pro rookie season. What I'm trying to say here is you aren't getting the type of prospect you want at #6. The guy who checks all the physical boxes, played well at the college level, projects well at the NFL level, and knocks it out of the park on the whiteboard and during the interview process. That guy goes #1 overall.
  22. I disagree. At least we still have our 1st. But this is like asking which disaster was less terrible.
  23. At #6 you might be getting your pick of the litter instead of the 3rd or 4th option. You aren't getting the Trevor Lawrence or Andrew Luck type prospect everyone wants unless you're sitting at #1 overall in the right draft class.
  24. You get our current QB situation by refusing to make a real investment in the position. When you shop in the scratch and dent section scrounging for a bargain, usually you just end up with scratched and dented junk.
