  1. I think the biggest issue with Young is that when he has a bad game he has a really bad game. There's no middle ground. If he can manage to limit those to 1 or 2 games a season he might has a chance.
  2. No, I would call it a bullet or zip pass but I would not argue against it being either.
  3. The player. He doesn't know how to play th qb position. He can't play it in college and he sure as hell won't be able to play it in the nfl. He's just big and can run fast. Oh, he can throw the football real far. But a qb he is not and you cannot make him one. Its a waste of even a 7th round pick.
  4. You've lost all credibility with me on that my friend. Never in the history of football has a 3 yard pass ever been called a dot, dart or anything other than a 3 yard pass. I'm not even going to discuss it further with you if your going to twist yourself in knots like this.
  5. Also you are nitpicking that pass. He put it right where it needed to be and in stride. I am as big as critical as anyone about Young but I know a great pass when I see one. Those 2 passes we dots, dimes whatever the hell you want to call it. Saying otherwise makes you petty and you lose all credibility.
  6. I was going to add those types of throws as acceptable. I just didn't want to type all that out. In both cases it takes qb control to complete and are rare throws and completions. You may not see 1 an entire game. Most passes require adjustment due either to coverage or a rushed throw.
  7. Maybe if you guys can start a petition and send it to Tepper? I hear you can also rent a crowd to protest outside BOA for you. I'm not sure what any of here can do about it. I mean if you guys keep saying how he sucks another 1 million times Tepper will get it by Jedi mind control. Not directed at you specifically but point still stands.
  8. His only decent games he had was when he played left guard last season. He's been straight up ass everywhere they put him this season.
  9. I classify it as any pass over 20 yards that hits the receiver in stride. Key word being in stride.
  10. Well versatile he's not. If he stays he will only be effective on the left it appears, if that.
  11. Never said it was. Its also easier to defend as you know what's coming.
  12. The odds say you are less likely to run for 4 yards against a stacked box. In that situation they are daring you to throw. The odds even dictate you should throw a quick short pass from play action. But the most damaging play to the defense is to hit a receiver over the top in stride if your offensive line gives you enough time. We did it twice. You noticed they didn't crowd the box anymore on the game sealing pass to Coker.
  13. I said they've never took a snap from under center. Thats the problem. The nfl is adopting it out of necessity more than preference.
  14. I think the qb's being drafted have a lot to do with that. Every one of them has never took a snap from under center. Have you noticed that Canales is putting Young under center more? It has been helping sell that play action and the run game as well. It needs to be a healthy mix to open up the playbook. I'm not sure what the answer is.
  15. Mendoza is probably the most accurate under pressure of the group coming out. I like his composer which will help tremendously in the nfl. But he works solely from the shotgun just like all the rest. Moore, from the little bit I've watched can sling it but he's irradic under pressure. Most of these guys coming out are. Sellers? Lol, just no.
  16. Zavala can only play decent if he's on the left with Ickey. From my untrained perspective Curhen is a better RG than LG.
  17. I think folks should take a look the the total yards most qbs are getting each week. Its all over the place. Even Allen isn't hitting 200 yards per game most games. Most are are around 175 to 200 yards on any given week. It's becoming more common and I'm not sure why.
  18. Based on the last NO game I think he may be needed.
  19. He was a better man than I would have been. My reaction was like the rest of America in saying " what the fug was THAT??!!!"
  20. The Bills oline were bear hugging our dline all game and got away with it. I think that set a blueprint for other teams to follow when playing us. The 49ers and the Rams were doing it without penalties so look for it to continue until we figure out a way to counter it.
  21. I'm struggling to remember anything more bizarre than what I witnessed.
  22. I'm not sure that is giving him enough credit. He literally kicked the ground 2 feet before he got to the ball, not beside it but before he got there. HTF do you do that without stopping yourself?
  23. I wonder if he broke hit toe? That would be even more hilarious.
