If I'm not mistaken the Panthers are not allowed to contact another teams player while they are under contract. They can contact a team about one of their players but not they player himself.

That's that only spots network I watch. I've had it on all day and I never watch the combine. This year it's must see tv.

You know it's just dawned on me that I had dismissed something that Fitterer said in his interviews earlier about this draft. He said something about moving back if they could not move up for their guy. The more I think about it I'm beginning to think that moving back is plan B. He also stated in another interview that this was going to be the draft that the make a splash or something of that nature. He clarified by saying they were going to look at TE, WR and playmakers as he put it with qb being one them. Given that trading up will empty the bank of what few picks they have this year and probably the first 2 rounds next year that seems a little hard to accomplish. He's mentioned several times about the possibility of taking a qb in the 2nd round and even today he added the possibility of getting one in the 3rd round. So he's thought that through as a possibility and what he could do with the picks he acquires. He's mentioned Hooker more than a few times as a possibility which is worth noting. But today he added Duggans name with Hookers for whatever reason. Having completed all of that tinfoil hat analysis I say to you my Panthers brethren that this offseason is going to be a blast to watch unfold.

I wish we had more picks this year. This draft is loaded at defensive line and LB.

They will love someone else next week. They will fall in love with every 1st round pick out there by the time the draft gets here.

The guy he was walking with was reported to be 6'7" tall. Sounds about right. That would make Young about 5'7" tall from that view.

I have not watched any of his games. Was just curious why I've seen him ranked above AR several times. It's got me really curious to see how the staff rank them. This class is getting more hype than it deserves from the media. I think a most of it is driven by the amount of team that need a franchise qb. But I digress.

There's an amazing amount of silence on every qb except the 4 everyone is blabbing about.

I never liked his officiating but I loved to hear him explain it. He has a unique accent.

What I haven't see I a lot of talk of McKee. I'm surprised with how he is ranked among the class there's not been one mention of him. Duggan was interviewed by us I think. That surprised me as he's not in the top 5 ranks either. It's hard to get a guage on anyone outside the top 4 media darlings.

I do not "follow" anyone. I will let you decide for yourself who to believe. Don't take my word for it.

I have no preference for any of them. I do hope they do not trade multiple picks for any of them. As far as AR goes I base my opinions on the rankings of the pro scouts. From what I've seen he's not among the top 5 qb's in this draft. If we draft him i hope he proves everyone wrong, including me. I feel the same way about any of these prospects. None are a sure thing and all need lots of development. Some more than others. AR is in the more category that will need a lot of development before you will ever see if there's any promise there.

I've not seen him "light up" about any of these guys. I think fans of a certain prospect see what they want to see.

Not me. AR has way too much bust potential out of the top 4. This imaginary upside I keep hearing about is a pipe dream that you do not invest a 1st round pick on. And Brisset is just, well just not something i want to waste time and money on. But that's just my view I guess.

Fitterer said yesterday that they look at prospects in next years class as well. Said they are always looking to the future. They are always scouting for talent and not just the current class. I would say they already have mountains of data on these kids. The combine is mostly for interviews and to confirm what they've already learned about them. I think they know who they would go all in on and who they could develop over time to be a stud.

I'm just telling you what the rumors are. I know our staff cares because they have repeatedly said it's one of the things they look for is high character players.

No it won't. But they were saying yesterday on nfl network that teams already had character concerns about him prior to this incident. So he may have been off some teams boards already due to that alone.

This^^^^. I get the impression not many are listening to what Fitterer and Frank are saying. Fitterer was clear how they view the position and what they want to do going forward.
