It's because Winston will only get your team through half the season at most before you have to bench him. You cannot sign him thinking he's a 2 year bridge qb. As a backup? Sure, but if your plan is to start him for a couple of years I doubt you survive as a head coach long enough to see year 2 of your contract.

Not if there are better options available. They will be forced to sign a FA to hold the spot until they decide who is going to replace Bryce. But don't expect someone that will turn this mess into a playoff team all by themselves. They are still cap strapped and will have to draft their way our of this. It will be 2 more years before this team is competitive even if they do everything right going forward. How much faith do you have of that happening?

I'm not ready to break out the pitchforks yet. This trade is certainly not a reason to call for them. Calm down and save your anger for something that sets the team back a few years at least.

In the end that's what happened. They got a 5th round pick and had to give up a 6th and $9M to rent Diontae for 7 games.

It appears Canales is not ready to make that switch just yet. I think it's going to take an injury for that to happen. I agree that it couldn't possibly be worse but I think Canales feels differently.

I'm not sure what everyone is up in arms about. Young had 2 decent drives last game so there's nothing wrong for giving him credit for that. Lord knows there's never been much to praise him for.

What else can they do at this point in the season? If Andy cannot go it's Young out there. The only way anyone else gets a start is if Young gets hurt. If both are hurt then it's Plummer and probably Luton will be signed to back him up. No one is coming in to save this team this season.

I think he's reading more into Canales's press conferences. I haven't listened to any of them so I will have to tune in to see how Canales handle those questions.

All true. I do think there's more going on with Canales and his in game play calling or lack thereof. His situational play calling was all out of wack. It's like he was still in preseason and just threw guys out there in critical situations that should be on the practice squad. The play was doomed from the start.

Donnelly posed a theory the Canales and Young do not like each other and that Canales is setting Young up to fail. Interesting theory that I hadn't considered. I hope there's another out there that buy that and come calling. None the less it seems the concensus is that Young is done in Carolina. Canales better start showing something himself as he's getting a lot of comments on his terrible play calling outside of the fanbase.

I actually like the defenses response when Payton pulled that crap. They finally got pissed and stopped them for once. It was too late by then but it's a positive reaction. The offense actually responded with that last TD. And believe you me Payton didn't take his foot off on this team. He hates Tepper as much as we do. He wasn't going to let the Panthers score again.

Firing coaches too early is part of the reason the team is a patchwork of bad to terrible everywhere in the building and on the field. The coach cannot fix this crap in a couple of offseasons much less one. Even if Canales ends up fired, which I think he will, it doesn't help fix anything. But Tepper is going to Tepper so it doesn't matter what I think.

No it would not. Deion would want full control to be the new Ringmaster of this circus and that would truly end my Fandom of this team. I despise Deion Sanders with everything in my being. I want no part of that idiot.
