  1. I think we will get most of it back when we ditch the Bridge. Not too worried. They wanted a first, and Fitts could have squeezed them--we seemed to have the leverage, but in the grand scheme of things, we gave up about 230 draft points to get him (if you devalue next year's picks one round). 230 points is nearly the exact value of this year's 3rd rounder. 2021, round 6: 12.6 points 2022, round 2 (if we finish in middle of the pack, #16): 190 points (third round value in 2021) 2022, round 4 (if we finish in middle of the pack, #16): 25.8 points (fifth round value in 2021) So if we get a 3rd rounder in 2021 or a future 2nd for Bridgewater, it balances out. even steven
  2. I came very close to calling him one of the generational talents of this draft (non QB)--along with Sewell, Chase, and Pitts.
  3. Sewell has 3 nipples. He could drop.
  4. 1. Sewell LT 2. Pitts TE 3. Chase WR (Man, I can't believe these guys fell to us. I am an awesome GM)
  5. Lost me after the second word.
  6. I think it is interesting to see that a young QB was good for a bit, then went downhill. That suggests his confidence and support was ripped apart. Remember, he was 21, 22, and 23 over the last 3 years, and I think I got the order right. My point? He became a bit of a head case-like a kid in a dysfunctional family. I would warn people not to judge him yet.
  7. I could see a team like the Steelers or Bucs taking him.
  8. there is always a big name or two--then a week or two later, the drug test results
  9. You know what pisses me off? Really Bad? Is when you have the greatest football LB name ever---and you give it to THIS guy:
  10. (Thomas) DAVIS (Sam) MILLS is a good name for a Panther LB.
  11. Not to worry--most were comments in threads, not in the titles--so nobody was injured--good thinking--I want him in the 3rd.
  12. Yes, because these statements were made yesterday, so she obviously was referring to them back in early March.
  13. Wrong emoji. I am not satisfied with the money we paid mediocre linemen Erv and Elf, and I can't say I am thrilled about the 30-32 year old CB additions. We still need a 3t DT, and I guess we are OK with the S situation. TE is going to be upgraded some, but we still do not have that weapon we are used to. Can the MLB (Perryman) stay off the stretcher? So I dunno. A solid LT moves Erv to G and possibly Elf to c, and I am not sure the slot WR position has been addressed properly. And then there is QB....
  14. Do we not have Cannon, Bonnefon, and Rodney Smith?
  15. Hope he goes to chicago so we can call him Checkdown Teddy Bear Bridgewater III. I really hope that happens.
  16. Trade Denver for a third rounder and they get Teddy and we switch spots in round 1--they get 8, we get 9.
  17. since this is a math thread, hear me out. Getting Darnold for a 2nd and 4th in 2022 and a 6th in 2021 Now we do not need to trade up, saving a 2022 first rounder. We can trade Teddy, let's say for a 2021 4th rounder and a conditional 2022 pick. We can actually move back in round 1 about 5 spots or so for a 2022 second rounder. We draft a T like Slater. So this move did not cost us a damn thing, in theory. We benefited from it. So if my math is correct, we (minimally benefit this way): SAVE a 2022 first rounder LOSE a 2022 second rounder but we moved back 5 spots in round 1, 2021, got our LT, and we added a 2022 second rounder. These even out. no loss, no gain. Teddy traded to the Broncos, we will say, for a 2021 4th rounder, more value than the 2022 4th rounder. If Teddy plays, we add a 2022 conditional pick--a 6th rounder. So I am showing that we saved a first rounder, not lost one, by making a few adjustments.
