I forgot about Darnold having such an expensive OL in front of him. I just remember Greg Little, John Miller, and Michael Jordan getting him put in the turf. But yeah maybe Bryce just needs Ian Thomas, Robby Anderson, and Brandon Zylstra.

The funny thing is when you are a physical team you can do this and it works. We used to be that team. Jeff Davidson would run 98 power on 3rd and 12 and get 15 yards.

I think he was going for a Russell Wilson/Seattle offense with a Rams type defense. But A) Bryce isn’t prime Russell Wilson and B) Evero isn’t Wade Phillips. I also think it is apparent that this team might be the least physical/agressive team we have ever had. They lack toughness that other teams have, no grit. Like I understand they aren’t robots but I see other players get absolutely licked and hop up. Our guys fall down and end up on the injury report a dozen at a time. If Dave wants to save his job he needs be the boss and fire Evero and put Bryce on notice confidence be damned. At least you can look at Tepper and say you did something instead of nothing. I really hope for our next head coach we go back to the normal statue like defensive guy. I really wouldn’t be opposed to a Robert Saleh, Brian Flores, Jeff Ulbrich etc.

I wonder what Dave’s excuse is this week. Probably the worst coached game we have had in a while.

I actually don’t mind starting Princely and Scourton. I am worried about Incoom and Johnson behind them though. We will be fine with Tremble instead of Sanders. McMillan being out would be bad, but we will get to see more from the other guys. I highly doubt Chuba will miss they did this a lot with him last year when he was going to get a big workload. What sucks is NE is 2nd against the run and like 30th against the pass

They are also worried because they haven’t been able to get their run game going which is how you manipulate our defense. If it’s just Drake Maye against Evero’s cover 3 all day they won’t break 20 points. Their defense is also much worse than Atlanta and Jacksonville (not quite as bad as Arizonas)

From what I’ve seen he does a decent job of getting where he needs to but he can’t tackle for poo. He tries to arm tackle instead of squaring up. I seen him stick to somebody like a leach against Jacksonville and just get drug 5 yards cause his legs went limp.

I wonder if the rumors about him being out of shape was true and it’s a weight/conditioning thing. Possibly running on a treadmill in Dave’s backyard

Isn’t Coker eligible to come back relatively soon? I thought he only had a 3-4 week injury with a mandatory 4 week period on IR. *checks calendar* that was like 6 weeks ago

Sounds like a positive trend

New Englands Defense is much worse than Atlanta. They also struggle to run the ball on offense, their offensive success has been from Maye. So basically, our offense should perform better but it will boil down to our pass defense against Drake Maye.

I was trying to be optimistic and left us out. If I recall the list correctly, Dallas, Miami, and NYJ are right there with us and NE. Like you say, whoever takes care of the football better will probably win those games.
