  1. It's not an all or nothing proposition, you fugging idiot. But, while he's at it, why not go ahead and approve hydroxychloroquine, too? That's shown as much efficacy as the blood plasma treatment. Not to worry, though, I'm sure Trump's medical expert (you know her- she believes in alien sperm, lizard people among other things) will have some great news for us when she speaks at the convention next week. Again, there's no indication this will save 3-400 people, but if it proves itself as a therapeutic recovery at some point, then I'm good with that. But while you want to get pissy with me because, according to your feeble mind, I'd "rather let folks die," let's not forget your president has, as of today, still not come up with a plan to combat the virus and 176,000 people are dead on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
  2. Except the clinical trials that have been ongoing for several months at such places as the Mayo Clinic, UCLA Medical Center, etc., have not shown any definitive results. But Trump needs any piece of sh!t he throws to stick to a wall somewhere.
  3. So, here's the play: You call out sick, ask the boss of you should get tested. He says, "Not up to me, HIIPA and all; call the nurse or wellness coordinator." They confirm and recommend test. Go to FastMed, get tested, download their app, go home and wait. FastMed is currently at 3-5 days. When test come back negative, you go back to work and apply for emergency sick leave reimbursement. This is because you had to sit home for 3-5 days, use your sick time to wait on a test which came back negative, your employer now has to give you those 3-5 days worth of sick time back and you collect regular pay and not lose sick days. Municipal government, folks.
  4. Will be interesting to see how Trump fawns over his passing a week after saying absolutely nothing about John Lewis. The man who thinks he is leading this country has all the common decency of a pile of dogshit in the middle of your sidewalk.
  5. D- for effort. Shitty analogy or attempt at sarcasm, whichever you were attempting. And, by the way, the virus you don't believe in has killed 50 times more people than 9/11.
  6. You can't do this to the flag: But it's perfectly acceptable to cut it up for this:
  7. The New York Post is a Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid and enjoys about as much credibility for unbiased reporting as Fox News. You Tube is not a reliable source of facts, your alien DNA doctor should have been your first clue. What "personal attack?" I simply asked if you believe in the moon landing or not.
  8. Sources and facts, please. Sources and facts, please. You're so wrapped into long-ago debunked conspiracy theories, outright lies and misinformation that your conversation isn't worth engaging in. It's like explaining calculus to a 1-year old- a waste of time. So, tell me, did we put men on the moon or was it all done in Hollywood?
  9. Correction: lock downs don't work in this country because a virus was politicized, as was the idea of staying home and masks, because all three of those worked everywhere else in the world who has come out the other side of this. Countries in southeast Asia learned from SARS and actually had plans for a pandemic like this had immediate and overwhelming testing numbers, contract tracing and quarantine. They have survived on a much higher scale than this country and did it without a vaccine or "therapeutics." The president of this country politicized a virus which couldn't care less what your political affiliation is, killed 145,000+; he assured everyone it would disappear in April, told us it was just a couple of days of sniffles, etc. If you believe for a single minute that this country, with 4.25% of the world's population, has been "successful" while responsible for 25% of the world's death toll from COVID, I can't help you.
  10. A You Tube video from a right wing conspiracy theorist, a "supposed" Supreme Court indictment (whatever that may be given the fact the USSC doesn't do indictments) and your list goes on. Here's a thought, maybe use some credible sources and post something reality-based and not some bullshit from your idea of trusted news sources on You Tube. GTFO.
  11. Someone let me know when we all wake up and the virus will have "disappeared, just like a miracle," as the president has promised. Remember, “People are really surprised I understand this stuff,” he said. “Every one of these doctors said: ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability.”
  12. Because my wife has been in private country club management for almost 30 years now, I can safely say what the president of the club said about "over half of the employees decided to walk out" comment was a dick move and totally uncalled for. You just made life miserable for the general manager, whom those employees work for. The president is probably a 2-year term president of the board of governors. The privileged country club types wanted their restaurants opened weeks ago, were bitching about not being able to use the pool and were complaining about all the inconveniences. I know this as I got to read a lot of emails from members. Because private country clubs are often 501(c)7 operations, they weren't afforded to eligibility of payroll protection and my wife was forced to lay off about 35 people, which was extremely difficult on her as well as the employees. Now that some of the operation is slowly opening, some of those employees don't want to come back to work now that they're collecting unemployment +$600 extra a week. But hey, those privileged country clubs are not somewhere the coronavirus goes, right? Rich white people don't get this, do they?
  13. I can listen to Knopfler play guitar for hours.
  14. We're in a recession- not of Powell's doing. We're in a pandemic- not of Powell's doing. The DOL unemployment rate is 13.5% and true unemployment is at 21%- not of Powell's doing. People are selling off stocks to create disposable income because they're not working- not of Powell's doing. He did nothing and you're blaming him for tanking the markets? You're just not very bright.
  15. It was well publicized rates weren't going to move days before he spoke. Markets plunged because it was announced we're officially in a recession and if you were expecting to see a rate hike immediately following a statement that we're in a recession, you're just not paying attention. The coronavirus second wave is also causing economic worries as states who thumbed their collective noses at COVID-19 and "opened for business" earlier than most and against the advice of trained professional medical folks are now experiencing some big numbers (Texas, Florida, Arizona). Oh, and Powell was nominated by Trump and confirmed by a GOP Senate. So if you want him gone, then we'll just add him to the list of "only the best people" turning out not to be the best and getting fired by Trump.
  16. I finally got this one in the mail Monday
  17. I've had Sirius XM since around 2002 (pre-merger) in both my cars. Now available online and on smart tvs included with subscription. All of that runs me about $36 a month.
  18. I found this a few weeks back- Album cover is a little worn, but it is 50+ years old. But the record is as good as you could expect- not the first scratch or skip in the vinyl. I paid $17.
  19. Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine can kill. When chloroquine is used as an anti-malaria, it is given in relatively small doses over a period of time prior to someone being exposed to a possible malaria included environment such as Southeast Asia or the African continent. If I remember correctly, we were administered doses 6 weeks ahead of our scheduled arrival in Southeast Asia. As little as a single gram of chloroquine can be fatal. Not sure about hydroxychloroquine, but I'm sure it's also potentially deadly.
  20. Not to mention his "pray away the gay" legislations. I'm waiting for this to be the next end-all cure the White House announces.
  21. Using that logic, the White House should be demolished tomorrow.
  22. Went to my friend's record store Saturday and walked away with a haul. Got new 180g reissues of Who's Next, The River, Hotel California, Morrison Hotel, and The Ramones.
  23. Found this in my local record store the other day- It's a compilation of Johnny Winter stuff recorded between 1961 - 1964. Record is in great shape, sounds good.
