  1. Owner Bud Adams got a $250k fine for the double finger gesture a few years ago. The fan who dumped a beer on Tyreek Hill? Suspended for life from the stadium. Tepper should get about $2M.
  2. You do know they had 20+ opt outs, right? I'm talking about CFP teams- how the committee should have selected.
  3. You do realize the PSLs are already sold, right? Whether or not butts are in seats is inconsequential- the tickets are sold and the money is in the bank. PSLs account for over 90% of the tickets at BOA.
  4. Top 4: Michigan, Washington, FSU, UGA.
  5. Yep. Can't be overstated. Each of his 4 seasons at Indiana ended with injuries. 4 years- 4 season-ending injuries.
  6. Alabama is not a better team than the Georgia team that's lost 1 game in the last 3 seasons nor the undefeated P5 team that was completely snubbed. And, no, I am the furthest thing from an FSU fan. Don't care for them in the least, but they did everything they were supposed to.
  7. I don't know. I usually don't even look at mocks until just before the combine.
  8. If Oregon had won the PAC 12 championship game against Washington, both of them might be in the CFP. But those 2 losses... But, all the committee needed was the weakest of excuses to put an undeserving Alabama team in.
  9. Shadeur Sanders? I saw him 4 times this season and I saw nothing that warranted the hype he's gotten. I'll be interested to see how the Colorado players in the draft fare after the clown show they were turned into this year.
  10. But have you seen both of them play this season? Phenix should have gotten the Heisman and Nix threw about 45 TDs, 4500 yards and above 77% completion rate. So, Kiper has Nix as the 6th QB on his board, which is laughable. Nix had no reason to play today, but he did and balled out.
  11. Oh, but it is about the money. In what other world can you own, produce and distribute a sh!t product and have a guaranteed positive ROI, despite the fact said sh!t product continues to get even worse? Tepper paid $2.2B in 2018, right? Forbes estimates the August 2023 value of the Panthers to be $4.1B https://www.forbes.com/teams/carolina-panthers/?sh=275f13cd7a58#:~:text=%2326 Carolina Panthers Team Value,1 %244.1B Calculated August 2023
  12. Just read some of the history of Hardees and JR. Between the Spartan Foods, MBM and Hardees sales and moves, a lot of people lost their jobs in the Rocky Mount area. Once the 7th or 8th largest city in the state with close to 75,000 residents, it's now closer to 54,000 and the unemployment rate is one of the highest in the state. A lot of this has carried over for the last 30 years. That's just a part of it. I don't live in RM, but I did work for the city for a nearly 10 years until I retired a couple years ago. I worked in the community and talked to a lot of people over the years and the overwhelming sentiment towards the entire ownership group, which included former NC Lt. Gov Jim Gardner, among others, is not positive, especially among the majority population of the city, which is black.
  13. Well, to be fair, by definition.......
  14. Hope that he develops a throwing arm? I mean, c'mon; it was an under-handed toss like a softball player tossing one to his kid. If you're going to throw something at someone, make it worthwhile. Throw a beer bottle, a chair, TV set. Fug, man, put some gut in it. And don't walk away. If you're going to throw something, stand up and show the guy you did it.
  15. What? What was "the culture" he cared about so much? Many may have viewed JR as a just a nice, good ol' boy. But, unless you're from eastern NC and are familiar with the Hardee's, MBM business dealings that made JR one of the most disliked men in the part of the state I live in, you may have a different opinion. He was a poster child for southern white privilege.
  16. I know you've heard all this before, but I wrote this team off after the last Super Bowl appearance, the demise of Cam Newton, the ownership change and the subsequent crap that came after all of these. Best thing I ever did was emotionally divest myself, sell the PSLs, and get rid of most every bit of 17 years of Panther memorabilia I collected. I still have a few collector pieces, paintings, photos, etc., but nothing that attaches me to the team any longer. I instead just started watching the games I think will be an entertaining and good matchup to see. The league is broken, favoritism is obvious; officiating is clearly biased, lacking accountability and, under Goodell's watchful eye, corrupt as hell. But I hope to see a good game on occasion. Much better for your mental well-being and health. Best of luck to both of you- the withdrawals aren't as bad as you think. And those around you will be much better off as well when you come out the other side a better person, without so much anger, frustration and focused negativity.
  17. I think we roll with who we have. If Anderson isn't ready by the TDL, we may see him go to LTIR just to free up some money for a trade. And I still believe Drury and Pesce are in play. Maybe TDA and Lemiux, but neither of them will bring much In return.
  18. I think the kid at Georgia is already projected to be the #1 pick in 25.
  19. Glad you finished that nicely. We'll played. I'd be hard pressed to find a #2 QB in the NFL as bad as Carolina's #1 overall.
  20. 33 total yards of offense at halftime. The 1-15 Chris Weinke Panthers weren't this bad.
  21. Mayfield is actually playing pretty well. Nice to see.
  22. And Campbell said he spoke to the refs specifically about this play.
  23. If the OL is that bad, then move the QB. Young just stands there and takes the hit.
