Out of town this weekend and missed the game. Was hoping to wake up with a victorious score on my phone... From what I've read, I might have spent a lot of the game upset. PP issues and road officiating... I did see Kadri's dive this morning, but hey, he's league star. Too bad our best guys don't get those calls. 3-1-1 with 5 points on this trip.

Just coincidence that Smitty said on his podcast the other day that he advised a couple players (who called him) to request a trade.

He's slated to play on a line that really needs his help. Let's hope that doesn't accelerate his recovery. We have time.

The offense did their thing, but gave up too many odd-man rushes. The defense was a step behind all night and even looked a little intimidated. 3 of Edmonton's goals were the result of bad decisions, out of position and letting someone get behind the D to the net. Sloppy stuff. It's a 4-3 win if you take out the gimmes. Connor McDavid has scored 2 goals in 10 games against the Canes. Can't be intimidated by that.

Another weak penalty. Please don't waste Svech's hattie effort.

Defense is atrocious tonight. Over aggressive on offense and no aggression on D.

This is an ass-kicking. Giving up odd-man rushes one after the other. It would be worse if Chatfield hadn't covered a half dozen mistakes already.

For a below avg defense, Edmonton is playing better D than the Canes.

You need to get used to the fact he'll probably start 25 games this season. I get your pain, but we all have to live with it.

Anybody pictured below really scare you? McDavid won't beat anyone by himself and, aside from Draisaitl, there's not really another offensive threat on the roster.

Anderseon goes tonight and Raanta probably gets Calgary. Unless they send Andersen out against both and give Raanta the net for Vancouver, and Andersen gets close to a week off. But, I believe Raanta will get the Flames only because there's only 1 day between games.

Campbell has not been good to this point. Granted, there's not really a good sample size yet, but losing their last 2 won't bode well for the Canes. Fortunately, the Canes defense is already playing pretty well considering 3 new guys learning the system. Pucks on net, boys!

I watched a couple of those playoff games and, not having the opportunity to see much of either Calgary or Edmonton during the regular season, I was shocked. I was under the impression Calgary was the better team.

Thursday, Saturday, Monday. Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver. 4-5 points out of these 3 games and I'll be happy. 6 points and I'll be proudly sportin' some wood.

I don't think 7 or 8 points on this road trip is out of the question.
