  1. Lemieux did work early to set the tone when he crushed McAvoy behind the net. Noesen stood up as well.
  2. Huge win on many levels. Confidence of beating an excellent team. Minus a key player- Svech. Minus a 1, 2 or 3 goalie. With a PP that has been silent for a few games.
  3. This was a reach before the game started. 1 point is a win as far as I'm concerned.
  4. 6 minutes gone in the 3rd and the Canes are still in the lockerroom.
  5. So, is Donnie Wads better at drafting or making deals?
  6. Turbo got his stick between McAvoy's legs to make that shot. WOW!
  7. Does that mean you're taking Noesen as well?
  8. Following a poor showing against Minnesota last Sunday afternoon, the Canes limp into Boston without their best power forward and starting their 4th different goalie this season. As for scoring? Well, DamnItJake and BY9Franchise both added a point for correctly guessing Necas as the opening goal scorer. Anybodyhome- 4 Harbingers- 3 Panthers Fan 69- 2 WelshPanther- 2 BY9Franchise- 2 DamnitJake!- 2 DavidEng- 1 MillionDollarCam- 1 Just goes to show you anyone can get on the board! BY9 has made 2 correct picks on the ice for the Canes but still hasn't figured out the QB situation in Charlotte, according to his screen name...lol. ----------------------------------------------------- I'm going with Noesen tonite. If the Canes can score, it'll be a net front scrum.
  9. The Sunday game against Minnesota was also a dream when the Rags and a couple other Metro teams lost. And the Canes failed to capitalize against a sub .500 team with one of the worst PKs on earth and a barely average goalie. So, pardon me if I'm not feeling very confident. The trademark of championship-caliber teams: you win the games you're supposed to and up the effort against the good teams.
  10. Remember when these first came out and the retail price was in the $1500 range... in the mid to late 70's? The Vision Pro will likely be half the $4k asking proce in less than 2 years.
  11. I think tomorrow is a bloodbath and Carolina is on the wrong side. The Boston Massacre all over again. NJ and Arizona should both be wins, but so we're LA and Minnesota.
  12. Love the commercial music, though.
  13. Minnesota has one of the worst PKs in the league, yet the Canes did nothing facing it. But I'm seeing the last 3 games a consistency of how opposing teams are defending the Canes PP. Nobody on the PK chases the puck. Defending teams are simply stacking a line of 4 defenders from the top of the crease toward the blue line. This forces the Canes to pass around the perimeter as that stack does not allow a cross-ice pass.
  14. Just before puck drop, my wife goes up to get us a couple beers and one of the Canes flag wavers, a young lady named Sydney, approached her and asked if we would like to ride the zambonis at the end of the 1st period. So, there's a lot more to it. She picked out my wife because she has one of these sewn on her Canes black sweater: Turns out, Sydney is a med student at Duke and is aspiring to be a surgical oncologist. As we were waiting for the period to end, during their conversation, her mentor at Duke Hospital is the same oncologist who treated my wife's father before he passed. Anyway, we both climbed aboard and rode the zambonis for the entire 5-10 minutes that takes. But the behind the scenes look at what goes on down underneath all the seats was fascinating.
  15. I'm just pissed off. The Rags lost last night and Philly lost today. Canes had a golden opportunity to make up ground going against a sub-.500 team and a .500 goalie in net. No reason to expect anything but a solid win. But no. Canes will get rung up Wednesday night in Boston even if Kochetkov is in net. He's been down for 2 weeks and will not be at 100%.
  16. Me & the wife rode the Zambonis after the 1st period!
  17. Can make up some points on the Rags after their loss to the Kings in LA last night.
  18. Perets was sent back to Norfolk yesterday, signaling the return of Kooch in the next couple days.
  19. Hoping that Pyotr stands up to Rat Marchand again.
  20. As ineffective as CJ Stroud was against the Ravens, I remain as curious as ever what Carolina scouts saw in BY over CJ.
  21. Sunday 5PM vs Minnesota: I'm going with Jarvis.
  22. I'll be there in a few hours. Hoping for a strong showing before the Boston game Wednesday.
