  1. But the Canes have also been known to make bad goalies look good. I expect the Canes to be firing at will tonite. 40 shots on goal incoming.
  2. Can anyone tell me what happened with Letang last night? I got home with 8 minutes left in the 3rd. Thought I heard he ran Jarvis into the net... or...?
  3. Does the NHL have a medical settlement/release clause like the NFL? And, could Kase simply be released? If he's the guy to get traded, who wants damaged goods?
  4. I'm reading some stuff about Bo Horvat (Vancouver) being offered up and a good place is in Raleigh. Doesn't make sense to me, on the surface, because the team is pretty much loaded with centers and that's not really the issue right now. Of course, any trade rumors involve Jarvis- he's not going anywhere. And the fact Carolina is on a streak without their best player doesn't really scream, "We need a solution!" Thoughts?
  5. Okay, I was wrong and I'm happy to be wrong. That being said, Raanta gave up 2 easy's tonite. The second was pure garbage, he was so lazy I got pissed- not something that happens when I'm watching Canes hockey.
  6. I'll say Pittsburgh wins by a goal tonight when Raanta gives up one of his patented softies. And the Canes didn't morning skate during the Islander-Red Wings-Seattle stretch and won all 3 .
  7. Pittsburgh is favored tonight at home. I'm committed to the WRAL Night of Lights thing tonite at Dix, so I'll likely miss the game. I'll record it just in case it's something special.
  8. Whatever it takes to put TT in a position where he feels comfortable shooting when the opportunity presents itself. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why he is so hesitant to shoot, especially when only positive things happen.
  9. RBA is absolutely right when he says that was not a well=played game. That may have been the most shots given up this season so far. When I'm seeing a team double up the Canes with shots on goal, I'm very worried this isn't a game they can win. And, without a lot of doubt, I think I can say this game is a loss with Raanta, Ned, Mrazek in goal. Maybe even Anderson. Cannot allow offensive-minded teams with shooters all over the roster put up nearly 40 shots on goal.
  10. The post game interview with Hannah is officially viral:
  11. Sorry, been making and eating dinner. I only have 2 hands. Safe to say #52 has kept this game in check.
  12. Gotta do better than 5 shots in a period. Canes might have the lead right now, but I'm not overly confident it'll last.
  13. That PP was garbage and NJ did a Canes-style kill on Carolina. Carolina is in for a fight tonite.
  14. Can't be giving too many PPs to NJ tonite. They had plenty of chances.
  15. Oh, but wait. They have a championship. Oh, and they've been winning in the playoffs for 3 straight years now. Funny, you of all people, a Panther fan, talking about winning in the playoffs when you haven't sniffed them since...? Since before I sold my PSLs 8 years ago. But yeah, turn on your TV and absorb yourself with abject failure week in and week out while enviously whining about a winning, well run organization.
  16. Just gonna leave this here: A very well-run, professional sports franchise in Raleigh pretty much handled their business against their Pittsburgh foe this evening. You may thank the Carolina Hurricanes.
  17. I'd never go to a Pens or Boston game at PNC. Odds are I'd get my season tickets revoked. Don't want to take that chance.
  18. I didn't know there were that many Pens fans coming from their Spring Hope trailer park. Fug 'em, go home!
  19. #11 rewarded. He's been working his ass off tonight. Tripp is right- the Canes have gotten better every step of the way.
  20. Pens pushing hard after Skjei ties it up. No doubt this is a different game if the Canes were rested. We'll see them again Thursday nite in PA.
  21. Jarvis dropped the puck, Burns ran into DeHaan and tried to catch up from behind, fell down; puck went off Slavin's stick. So yeah, it was a mess.
  22. That was on the Canes- collectively a bad end of shift. Too bad because the Canes are clearly the better team, despite the back-to-back and the Pens have been off four 2 days.
