Still haven't figured out why Trouba hasn't been disciplined. Pretty fugging obvious the first impact was the head, I don't care of Trouba's elbow was tucked, it was still a head shot. Whoever the fugging moron on ESPN was who said, "He's driving through the core of Timo's body." What the fug!? Down 3 goals and almost halfway thru the 3rd period and you decide to go head hunting because your team went MIA? Fug you- go talk to your teammates.

One thing the Canes need not worry about- Doug Hamilton or anyone else on their blue line hitting someone.

There isn't a "big market" team left in the playoffs. Matter of fact, a few didn't even make the playoffs (Washington, Pittsburgh). And NHL markets are far different than, say, NFL or MLB markets. The Kings are in a big market, but that doesn't mean they draw TV ratings. And, the NHL has major bandwagon markets (Rags, Pens, Caps).

Oh, trust me, I get it. I'm not enamored with the guy, either, but it was the Panthers who selected and signed him, not the other way around. That's all I'm saying. Hey, if he thinks he's got a better opportunity to get his shot, and he needs to move on, the oblige him.

Tampa Bay lost their 1st round draft pick as a result of being bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs. The overall 20th pick now belongs to Chicago.

Rag's offense has disappeared since winning the first 2 games. I think the winner of the Canes- NJ series will face Dallas for the Cup.

I didn't see any of the game, but couldn't help but notice when I checked in on The Score that the Rags had 4 power plays before a penalty was ever called on them. And 3 of those were in the first.

Winning Round 1 has met my expectations. Any win in any game beyond last night is gravy. And it's also a good measuring stick to see where the Canes go in the short off-season. Another discussion in another thread, but I see Drury and MacEachern possibly making the roster and helping the salary cap with reasonable contracts as Stepan and Statsny will probably move on.

I watched the 1st period and it was a very physical game. They were chirping in pre-game warm-ups.

I'm not a collector, as firearms are made for a purpose that I hope I never have to carry out. I keep a 92FS, which is the civilian available version of the M9, which is the military contract model. The sights are Milspec and the slide is a little beefier. I optioned a little larger grip because my hands are pretty big. I've had it for over 30 years now. My wife doesn't care for the handgun, so I also have a Benelli M4 Tactical shotgun for her. Basically point and shoot. The pistol grip with an 18.5" barrel makes it an easy weapon to handle. I upgraded from the M3 Tactical a few years ago.

The goals by Aho and Statsny were the only way the Canes win that game. Sorokin was on it tonight.
