  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8IzuFdIz4M Great footwork and accurate throws in stride.
  2. NFL, these boys are taught to put their hands up and there is limited windows because the coverages are more complex. College is alot more spread out where windows are there but NFL is much more disciplined when it comes to coverage. Make no mistake, Im not saying Bryce isnt good. But size does matter when throwing slants and seeing them when they are available. So really my biggest concern about Bryce is how long will it take for him to be able to manuever the pocket to create viewing gaps to deliver the ball and can our o line be good enough to create those windows for him. Its alot to ask when you can get a 6'4" QB who is just as good but not have to worry about that as much and durability
  3. You need a one in all package, size, strength, accuracy, motivation all that you guys have said. But you dont want to get someone that is under sized that cant throw over 6'7" dlineman and we all know the NFL is faster, more complex and requires more time to read the defense and more hits on the QB. You need a QB that is bigger and can see over the line.
  4. Like I said if we are talking about size. The better pick is CJ Stroud. AR hasnt proven enough to eve be a consideration. He is big and definitely can throw over the line and be durable but he has been spotty and would need work. Panthers dont have time for that
  5. Or even better yet. These D lineman are 6'6" and he gets balls batted down. College success and motivation is great but it dont transfer to the NFL. Very few under 6'1" actually do well. Drew Brees is the bunch. But it'll be hard to find many others.
  6. what does skillset, competition or success have to do with getting injured and wasting all those picks because the QB isnt durable because he is small.
  7. I hope we get CJ. I like his accuracy and throwing motion. He has great footwork and really squares up to throw a great catchable ball. Almost all the videos I see have him throwing dimes and in stride with his receivers, Bryce looks good as well but some of his are slightly under thrown and footwork will need some help. Stroud would be my pick. He just throws a great ball to me.
  8. I agree but the NFL is different. Bigger boys and faster pace. The reads aren't easy, defense more complex. That equals more time in the pocket and more hits or scrambling concerns
  9. While yes, it still wasnt with the Panthers. And by the time he came back to play those years he got injured, there was nothing to play for.
  10. CMC got injured for the past 3 years of his panthers years here because he was undersized. I love CMC but he was injury prone due to his size.
  11. Tepper was headed in the right direction when he fired Rhule. But just because he is headed in the right direction doesnt mean he is on the right road. Still a hellavalot of things to do.
  12. Yall got to admit. It does suck to not have a QB and crappy QB play and then when the team decides to get one your the piece they give away when you been with the team for years and become their best player.
  13. Na DJ was a result of a bad system. He had inconsistent QB play the whole time he was here. Do your thing DJ. Hope you do well with the Bears.
  14. The only way I would remotely like this is if there are some good FA that we can get at receiver and maybe draft a good one.
  15. Its not that we dont like him but we will be cap strapped. Not only that, lose picks. Just we rather have 3 good draft picks then one great player. Strength in numbers. We dont need a amazing QB. We need someone competent. Trading up for Stroud would be better for our cap than Jackson in the long run. We would set ourselves back years with Lamar.
  16. You can think its trash all you want. Til he gets injured and cant play every game and we get rid of him because he is not worth what we bargained for. This game is about getting the best value and not depleting your assets and draft picks is a valuable asset especially 1st. 4 first is better than 1 player.
  17. I can see your point but at the same time I dont. I watched TCU the whole year and Duggan really had great touch on his passes and great pocket awareness. The past couple games may have been big games for him that mentally he may not have been ready for. But I think when he settles in, he will be good starter.
