All three charlotte Observer predictors took the Panthers to beat the Jets last week, so the margin among the trio has stayed the same. Fowler maintains a hefty lead at 6-1 over Kaye (2-5) and Zietlow (2-5). Fowler: Panthers 27, Bills 26. Even as I write this, I am having a hard time believing I am going to pick against reigning MVP Josh Allen and Buffalo. But the Panthers are a far better team when playing at home (3-0). The Panthers at least have a shot if they play turnover-free football and run the ball at least 35-40 times against Buffalo’s 31st-ranked rushing defense (with 70% of those carries going to Rico Dowdle, preferably). Put me down for an upset and, hey, if it doesn’t work out, at least I’m giving my colleagues a chance to catch up. Kaye: Bills 27, Panthers 24. I think this game will be close, regardless of who will be at QB for Carolina. The Panthers should have plenty of success on the ground with a few Tetairoa McMillan moments sprinkled in. Josh Allen, though, can be a monster on the football field, and it’s late October. Zietlow: Bills 38, Panthers 21. Trust me, I’ve heard the same things you have. The Bills haven’t beaten a team over .500 yet. They’ve lost two straight. The Panthers brought in former Bills quarterback Mike White to the practice squad to find a competitive edge. Etc. Etc. But this is a game the Bills need to win in order to get on the right track — and a bye week of preparation will only help Josh Allen and the rest of the team in this effort. I think the Panthers hold close for a while, but then the Bills pull away at the end.

Greg Cosell & compsny preview bills panthers

What did Cosell say about Bryce that you found so lacking in praise? I’ve seen plenty of games with Mark as color commentator and he skewered Young on his comments -
interesting podcast. Did my best to summarize 1 none understand why rico isnt getting 100% of snaps 2 dalton is seasoned veteran and for this game, could he more of a challenge for bills than young Better arm and Familiar with mcdermott defense. Has seen everything Impressed with Tet and Panthers do not have bad receivers and impressed by size 3 not impressed with bills passed game and Allen is being held back because of it. bills do not seem to have a consistent vertical passing game as in past. No intermediate More Short passes for YAC and that hurts Allen Could be to control pace and tempo of the game given the bills defensive weaknesses Need intermediate to stretch zone defenses 4 bills have several returning from DL from suspension this game on defense that could help 5 atlanta beat bills offense by blitzing and played ton of man coverage. No structured intermediate passing game for bills Bills had no answer for atlanta defense either blitzes and man to man coverage Rushed 5 or more on over 30% if Allen’s drop backs 6 compliments the panthers defense Up and coming but has issues. Last in pressure on qb Last in DVOA and coverage of TEs

Damning indictment of Bryce Young
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im just sharing what reputable reporters are saying people see what they want to see but his numbers do not lie the team is winning in spite of him. Winning is good i do not see Young in the Nfl in 10 years and i dont see him being the panthers qb in 2 years until then, i hope for the best with him i want the franchise i support to have a better answer at qb -
Summation. 1. What do the Panthers miss with Young out ? For a number 1 draft pick and supposedly a franchise qb.,if he is missed, can the areas be quantified ? 2 Vegas set the line of Bills -7 That line was set before the panthers jets game finished and Bryce was hurt The line didn’t move once Vegas knew he was out. Vegas views the panthers minimally different with Bryce as without him

Had the Bills not lost 2 in a row, very unBill like, plus coming off a bye, I’d fancy the Panthers chances more than i do desperate teams….

yep Very sad day for the franchise when we lost those two…what might have been
