  1. My mom has been on medicare for five years or so now. It gets worse over time and they pay less each year as they shift medicines from one tier to another. She has an inhaler and they started making her copay higher than what they paid last year. Thankfully, the local pharmacy she uses started giving her the generic version for less than her copay as the price for the name brand version went up.
  2. I remember being told years ago that they had their factories all setup for marijuana if it was ever legalized. Don't know if it's true or not though. As for lobbying, they probably don't because they're so far out of favor with the government and have been content with their other cash cows.
  3. Maybe timeouts are in order for those derailing all the threads.
  4. With the way some act like they hate the guy, it'll probably continue until Young isn't part of the team any longer.
  5. I don't think he was endorsing the idea of going cheap at WR so much as he was pointing out how Jefferson is making so much more than every WR on the Panthers' roster combined. As for what the Panthers currently have, I'm not expecting much except for the guy they traded for to show out or at least attempt to. He's in a contract year and wants to get paid after all.
  6. Twitter officially changed the URL to x.com last week. That's why you now have to change it to twitter.com/whatever now when you didn't before.
  7. It's definitely a possibility. That said, hopefully Young shows he's the guy so the team can improve and focus elsewhere.
  8. 140 million with over 36 million in signing bonus for 4 years. 110 million guaranteed. Resets the WR market. States the Panthers whole WR core costs less than 25 million a year while Jefferson will be getting 35 million a year. Wonders where teams will start looking to go cheap with having to pay QBs and WRs so much now. They didn't mention how much edge rushers are getting and how that adds to the trouble of building a roster.
  9. I think Dr Pepper is the best tasting of the them, but don't drink any of that poo. They're terrible for you.
  10. Here's a chart of NFL teams. If you count the NBA and MLB, it gets a lot more crowded since some of those arenas/ballparks/stadiums are a lot older. And here's a bit more general information for you, all cities have a diverse population and a poo ton of transplants.
  11. Right, because no other city with a pro sports team is diverse and has many transplants. Charlotte is the only one
  12. In other words someone high up is pocketing quite a lot of money cause it sure isn't going to the workers or being used to buy high quality materials.
  13. If this tourism tax is a state fund, it's still a huge waste of money. There are 99 other counties in NC that want part of that money to draw tourism to them too. They won't get it if the state is giving that money to Tepper.
  14. You are aware Charlotte isn't unique, right? Every other city has bars, restaurants, clubs, etc too. 29 other cities have NFL stadiums. You're just looking at things through your fandom and not logically at all. Here's some links about studies and how sports stadiums aren't the win their proponents think they are. Link 1, Link 2, Link 3 There's also older threads about the same topic with even more links here on the Huddle.
  15. Richardson pulled that promise not to move poo back in 2012-13 when he asked the city and state for money. I don't recall how long the deal was supposed to be for but it was something like 20 or 30 years. Tepper can take the team elsewhere and pound rocks. Public money should never be used to fund a billionaire's hobby.
  16. Eh, if they've been promised two years and a chance of a do-over if Young still sucks, then they could have drafted a center even if Corbett would start. Having a high caliber center is a must. Maybe the Panthers will get that eventually.
  17. It's the offseason. They're all trolling for content, clicks, listens, etc.
  18. But it remains to be seen if Brooks can be a featured back in the NFL, especially since he's coming off an injury. I also disagree with them that RB was a need. But as you said, we'll see how it plays out. As for center, I'm not holding my breath. It seems the Panthers always take two steps back for every step they take forward.
