  1. Not a bad 8:28 minute video. Some may find the guy's voice a bit grating though.
  2. Some of you guys might need to heed this advice
  3. Yep, even more so since they'll have to keep paying money for the renovations for a couple more years.
  4. Which a large chuck of comes from State taxes that we all pay.
  5. More from this 2019 paper. From an Atlantic article: Here's a third article if the previous two aren't enough.
  6. Yes, there's lots of better uses for the tax money such as making sure the children of Mecklenburg county have enough to eat.
  7. Sports franchises are just more corporate welfare/socialism. The public pays for the stadiums after the owner inherits the team or makes their investment in the team and then said owner profits of tax dollars at work.
  8. I know but as I said, the poo is wrong. The billionaires already have more than enough. The regular folk shouldn't have to pay to prop them up even more.
  9. Thanks for the correction guys. That said, the state using tax dollars to fund a single man's business renovation while he pockets all the profits is even worse. That poo ain't right no matter which way you look at it. Taking it a step further, should the state, city, and/or county use tax money to pay for renovations at every restaurant, hotel, and store that tourists visit too?
  10. And? He can afford to renovate the stadium or even build a new one himself and it wouldn't really hurt his worth. Raising taxes for this or shifting money away from other programs hurts the citizens of the city.
  11. The city would be much better off to invest that money in infrastructure, mental health help, the homeless, education, or lots of other things than giving it to Tepper, especially just for a renovation. If he threatens to move the team over it, tell him bye.
  12. He thinks the Bucs are wasting time and has already seen mocks stating they'll get UNC's wonderboy QB in next year's draft. He thinks the Falcons will be third in the division and likes their skill players, running game, and O-line. He also thinks Riddler can be a good QB and that the Falcons should use Robinson for all he's worth while on his rookie deal, then let him go. Gives the division to the Saints by default since they have the sole worthwhile vet QB. That said, he doesn't think Carr will take the Saints far. Thinks the Panthers' defense will be good and the running game as well, thanks to the O-line. Thinks the Panthers will be in the running for the division but it might take Young some time to adjust. He points out how other QBs have struggled their rookie years and then blossomed. He also doesn't like the Panthers' receivers and thinks they're not going to do Young any favors. It was a pretty fair and balanced half hour listen.
  13. That guy you responded to is doing the following video. He was the same exact everything is always fine and will work out fan and is now doing the same disgusted fan bit.
  14. Then your point was missing the mark from the very beginning. Nothing stops people from being reactionary, especially diehard sports fans.
  15. New coaches bringing in new a offense and defense An actual new offensive minded head coach which finally breaks the mold the franchise has always used in for an HC Shiny new possible franchise QB The owner seems to be willing to learn from his past mistakes Why not be optimistic? Now's the time and if not now, when?
