  1. I’m starting to have my doubts that he is the right guy for the job. This team is very poorly assembled and the draft choices recently leave a lot to be desired. Taking Horn over Surtain, Icky over Neal, and passing on Pickett just to trade a ton for Bryce the following year look like terrible moves. Paying Miles Sanders? Hayden Hurst? I mean they are telling us to temper expectations then why the barrage of signings acting like you can win. He obviously has no feel for where the team is at, that cap space could have been carried over. I don’t think Bryce is the problem, and I think he’s going to be a fine system/game manager QB. But that rarely wins you anything in the NFL. At best he turns into Drew Brees which is possible but unlikely. His deep ball needs a lot of work, it’s looks awful right now. If Fitt believed in Reich and the “brilliant coaching minds” around him they should have went with Richardson and seen what they can turn him into. Instead Bryce will be just good enough like Garrapolo and Cousins where we we make the playoffs, but will all complain about him every year because he’s holding us back. Hateto say it but Tepper getting involved in the coaching search and draft likely contributed to Fitterers demise and killed this team for the foreseeable future. I think in two years Fitt and Reich are both gone and we are forced to start over once again. Hopefully by then we get our Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll.
  2. I would have rather paid CGJ to be our CB2 over Adam Thielen. Who knew it would have been cheaper 🫣. I’m on board with the Thielen signing, but that’s a pretty ridiculous contract for him, which is the only reason he’s here and not a team like KC. It’s only really big money this year but it’s still an overpay.
  3. Signing both Thielen and Chark would be tremendous. The WR room would be better than last years, and Fitt wouldn't be pressured into having to force a WR in the 2nd if no targets are on the board. This off-season has been exciting, some moves i agree with, some that i dont, but nonethless doing what you should be doing with a rookie QB on a rookie deal, building a good team around them and not wasting any time. Chark-TMJ-Thielen-Shenault-Rookie (Flowers )
  4. The 3 year deal sounds like cap manipulation to me, not a chance they are expecting 3 years out of him. The final year or two is probably either voidable or won’t have any effect on the cap if he’s cut. We haven’t seen the numbers yet but this front office is smart enough to structure it that way to save cap space for this year.
  5. Yes a second is plausible, but people thinking we’re getting 12 plus a future first have no idea how the draft works. I’m not moving back to 4 unless I’m fine with Levis (which I am). Plus I would def ask for Pittman in the package. Then it’s like we essentially traded up to 4 for free
  6. Definitely not going to get what people think to move back one spot lol, it would be more like a second rounder, or maybe even a 3rd and 4th. It’s 1 spot lol, multiple firsts aren’t remotely happening.
  7. Would love this signing, get it done Fitt! Was my top target in FA.
  8. As far as the free agents go, I really want to see Chark sign here. He offers real upside and is still young. Thielen would be a solid addition but doesn’t really make sense, he should be on KC or a real contender for his final year or 2. Hardman is the outlier, it’s hard to place him. He never panned out as more than a gadget player for KC. He’s got insane speed tho.
  9. Ummm Fitt signed him not Marty, it was ridiculous the money he gave him and Dante Jackson.
  10. You’re right, a backup QB is more important than a starting WR and RB. I guess we both see who actually watches football and who doesn’t loser.
  11. A rock solid 33 year old vet. I wouldn’t hate it for 1 year, but he can barely make it through each season lately. Would be a great outlet on 3rd downs and in the redzone, but you can’t even count on him taking a full complement of snaps at his age. I’m not exactly sure why he would want to come here lol
  12. The answer is literally NOT on the roster. I'm fine with TMJ being our WR2 and having a big roll, but he's not a WR1, i think we have seen enough to concede that. Shi Smith sucks, and Ian Thomas sucks. The RB room is laughable. So tell me whose on the roster that your speaking of? Is Laviska your savior?
  13. I tend to agree, but the thought process was literally we will give up anything to get a franchise QB. DJ Moore unfortunately was collateral damage, so be it if we get a franchise signal caller for the next decade plus. I love DJ Moore but i'm also not gonna pretend he was Justin Jefferson...But yes you would think with the mediocre cap space we have that it would behoove this staff to prioritize WRs, TEs, and RBs, instead we are signing S (im a fan of Von Bell) and a NT we didnt need until switching schemes. We usually have playmakers and no offensive line/QB, i guess this year we will have the QB and Oline but nobody to get it in the endzone consistently, quite the change. I don't expect all the holes to get filled in one offseason, and the WRs i coveted haven't been signed yet, but it seems like they are doing everything but what needs to be done to improve the offense which was the worst part of our team again last year.
  14. Outside of getting the top overall pick which is great, they have lost our two best offensive weapons in less then a year (CMC, DJ). Our other best weapon Foreman is a FA. Von Bell was a good signing, as was Bozeman. The rest of the signings are literally whatever. We have the worst offensive playmakers in the NFL, and its not even close.
  15. I'm glad this was a priority when we have literally no weapons to speak of in the WR, RB or TE room. But hey Andy Dalton is going to be a great mentor.. This is a horrendous signing at this stage of FA..
  16. The Panthers without a doubt have the worst offense (skill position wise) in the NFL right now. You can't name a team that is worse off at WR, RB and TE. They have to sign, trade, draft skill players or it's going to be very ugly. Thankfully they will...
  17. I'm not on board with either OBJ or Thielen for what they may cost, but i certainly don't want to watch Shi Smith drop balls all year. He should be on the roster bubble imho.
  18. Richardsons athletic ability make Cam almost look pedestrian. Thats not a knock on Cam , That’s how much of a freak athlete this kid is. If Reich and staff think they can get him caught up in the passing game by year 3 then it’s a no brainer. At absolute worst he’s Justin Fields running down everyone’s throat for two years. Stroud can throw accurately, but when the pocket breaks down as it often does in the NFL, how consistent will he be. That’s what this staff needs to project..
  19. I like Foreman but would prefer a guy who can be an elite 3 down back..Kareem Hunt anyone?
  20. DJ Moore was a WR1, and a very good one. He’s all around a better player than Sutton, but he’s gone. Sutton like DJ has been plagued with horrendous QB play. Based on the guys available via trade Sutton is the best available considering age as he’s only 27, size/ability. Nuk is great but that’s very short term. Sutton is the perfect replacement for DJ.
  21. I’m fine with TMJ as our WR2, but give me a strong WR1 in a trade like Sutton, and sign Paris Campbell to man the slot. Plus whoever we add in the draft you now have a pretty talented WR room for a rookie QB to work with. TE will also have to be addressed..
  22. I’m glad they are beefing up our already solid D, but the offense is literally bereft of talent. No skill position players on offense have signed yet but I’m still anxious.
  23. If Bozeman plays hardball i could see the Panthers pivot to this...
  24. Free agent wise the best 3 available are Jakobi, Paris Campbell and Lazard. DJ Chark is also very intriguing. If im Fitterer i'm looking hard into how much it would cost to acquire one of Hopkins or Sutton. Even a first year WR core of Sutton, TMJ and Paris would be fantastic for a rookie QB. TE should also be in play. Panthers have a ton of money available next season, they can practically sign whoever they want this year by structuring the deals with future money. That's the advantage of having a QB on a rookie deal, load up the rest of the team while they are cheap.
  25. You trust the guy who paid Ian Thomas and Dante Jackson over Hasaan? Last off seasons signings outside of Bozeman who fell in his lap for cheap left a lot to be desired. He can make up for it this FA, let’s see if he learned anything.
