  1. HIggins or Pittman in FA Best available speed/spacing/route running WR in R2. There will be first round talent available when we pick in the 2nd. This class is looooooaded. Five for sure first rounders and potentially another one or two sneak in. Realistic targets: Troy Franklin, Xavier Worthy or JaLynn Polk
  2. This is where I’m at. Fitts has a problem in Houston where a team that was arguably worse than us last year, has a coaching vacancy and needed a QB1 is thriving. Us…not so much. Not taking Downs and going B2B WRs when you just traded away your WR1 and need to support your new QB1, for DJ is the r last straw for me. We could’ve had an AJ Brown clone in Mingo and a Smitty-esque speedster in Downs. I don’t trust this organization to make the correct moves moving forward. We have to figure out LT, WR1, NT, CB1, CB2, EDGE and RB.
  3. Minimal expectations and if he’s already having hammy issues, I’d prefer a roster spot go somewhere else. Also, nothing should stand in the way of Blackshear getting some burn.
  4. I wonder what scheme the OL/Offense ran while BC was at BYU. Much the way Ikey is struggling with a heavier focus on passing vs. run-heavy under Rhule, could BC be a better LT in this offense vs. the previous regime?
  5. This, Jamo or Jalen Johnson would be an excellent forward-thinking move. Probalby comes down to assets going out from Carolina, which will most likely be too expensive for us. Still holding out hope that TMJ + 4th gets us a reuniting of Bryce and Jamo Williams.
  6. God forbid we surround Burns with a few more pieces so he isn't double/triple-teamed. Not mad about this decision unless a Rams-sized offer was turned down for him. Give him an OLB opposite him and a NT worth a poo and he will thrive. The front seven is more like a front-3 lately.....and even Luvu has cooled off a tad.
  7. I thought Matthews was in camp this past summer. I recall a former WR that had big name status but had not produced of late. Waste of a roster spot, IMO.
  8. Appears to be a liked individual by Vikes fans for his future potential....
  9. TMJ + something to swap WRs? Jameson back with his 'Bama QB and TMJ in a change of scenery and not needing to be "the man" behind St. Brown and LaPorta.
  10. Agree with the folks that say plays getting called in quicker, more motion and run-pass balance. Playing to Bryce’s strengths which is going up-tempo and move him/pocket around more and hopefully protect Bryce with personnel beyond just the 5 guys in the trenches.
  11. Soon-to-be-31-year old WR that is unhappy on a team that is struggling to find its' footing and incompetent coaching staff. His contract numbers are crippling too... He doesn't make sense here at all and should be looking to go to a team that is on a playoff team on the brink of needing a Moss-esque addition to complete their offense. The 704 ain't it for multiple reasons.
  12. I'm not trading Burns unless a Rams offer comes back around again. I'd prefer to find some help for him, especially at NT to occupy some of these double/triple teams he's facing. First guy I'm looking to trade is Jackson and rebuild this CB unit. I'm still holding out hope that Horn can bounce back, but finding a true CB in the draft to put across from him and/or insurance if he gets hurt again next year is priority 1 for me.
  13. Yet the Niners gave more IIRC for Lance and are doing just fine. It’s not the assets we gave up, it’s the other pieces we’ve accumulated over the past three offseasons and molding of pwrsonnel that are not supporting the guy we drafted.
  14. Yet another example of the issues with Carolina is not Bryce nor the selection, moving forward. OL inconsistency, no support at WR/RB until last week, vanilla playcalling and scheming, injuries all around that have exposed our depth and awful day 2 & 3 drafting. 9 will be just fine.
  15. So is this 4 weeks including the bye week, which is only three playing weeks? If so, it’s not the end of the world with the lack of reps, but could be seeing a healthy influx of players coming back around week 10. We have three winnable games in front of us as well and could be 3-6 going into the home game against Dallas.
  16. For me, I want a CB with our first pick and then throw the bag at Higgins or trade Chinn+ for Jameson Williams if he's available. We also just need to be better on day 2 and 3 of the draft. Some say we overdrafted Mingo, meanwhile the shifty speedy receivers like Dell, Downs and Nacua are thriving right now. To the OP, if there isn't a CB, TE, DT or EDGE worthy of the pick, I'd be happy with someone like Franklin, Worthy or Leggette. My hope is that one of Wiggins, Lassiter, or Burke is there for us. Boot 26 to the curb or at the least, nickel and insurance for Horn if he remains fragile. If Horn is back, we have two lockdown CBs.
  17. Only guy Bryce trusts rn. I really was looking forward to the chemistry that 9 was forming with 15 and 17 during TC and preseason, but they have been a disappointment thus far. Hopefully Brown can unlock the code to get these other NPCs activated on gamedays.
  18. I doubt ATL would do it within the NFCS but Pitts would be a solid get. Upgrades TE and helps with receiving issues. Also depends on price, but I want a TE with one of our first two picks next year, so if we can get him for a day 3 pick, I'd be onboard.
  19. This sums it up for me. I really thought Evero would find a way to maximize Chinn's abililties. It's still early, but for a guy with that much potential, he seems like a square peg in a round hole in Carolina. I feel like the unit of Bell, Woods (once healthy) and Jones collectively can give us what Chinn does for 15-18 snaps/game. If we're looking at upcoming contracts, Chinn also seems like the odd man out if we have to cut ties with someone. He's a UFA this summer, so if he's not a franchise piece, and it fetches us a young WR, I'm good with the swap.
  20. Random X account that throw poo against the wall for clicks. Keep it moving....
  21. I've seen this on the board a few times now....why would Detroit do this? I haven't heard how his time has been with the Lions. Would they give him up already?
  22. It's so unfair to critique Bryce through only 2 games. I know it's hard given Stroud's last two games (his first game was not good) and BY already injured. The good thing about the injury is that any QB would have sustained it and it's not a size/frame thing that caused it. 9 has shown enough in two games of "unteachable" things that "it" guys just have. The problematic issues are teachable/coachable. I have minimal concerns with his long-term trajectory. Trying to outrun NFL DL/LBs, not reading a well-disguised coverage by a vet S and DC, and misfiring to WRs that are not separating running route concepts properly is fixable. As the article mentioned the schemes, injuries and coaching staff hasn't done right by Young. Yes, CJ has had a similar situation, but I see flaws in Stroud's game that could get potentially exposed in time with more film on him.
  23. CJ has looked the part so far. Very excited to see him ball out and prove the doubters wrong. I will say though, after three games, there's an awful lot of assumptions being made about our players, coaches, as well as other teams' players. I do believe Panthers fans will always have their eye peeking over at the Colts and Texans for the next few years with their scorecard in hand. I think all these rookies, as is usually the case, will have different journeys to their respective successes. Bryce's looks to be a bit further down the road then three games in. A lot can change from week-to-week and season-to-season.
  24. I get the concerns, and if folks want to jump ship, go for it. There's a lot to be concerned with through 3 games. I will say, being at the game yesterday and arguably the best seats I've ever been gifted, that stadium at the ground level is insanely loud. I've been in the uppers there a few times and it sounds loud. Being a few rows up behind the Panther bench is a whole new appreication for the accoustic design at funneling noise onto the field level. I don't fault the OL at all for the false starts, miscommunication, etc....for this game. A second-year LT, a day-3 LG and journeymen at RG equates to a real challenging situation in the trenches. The tackles also have a hard time hearing since they are the farthest ones away from the QB/C exchange. We've stumbled hard out of the gates, our offensive schemes look like a JV team and we have no running game due to injuries on our OL. I think people will be singning a different song later in the year when Corbett is back, BY has some more games under his belt, and the offense finds their groove. Not having Corbett and BC is really, truly magnifying our weaknesses.
