  1. I've always been a Crumedy fan and thought he showed enough flashes to keep around and let him get more snaps. I'm confused by the WR and RB additions. Seems like depth in other areas made more sense. Still lots of time until 9/7.
  2. It stings for Bryce in 2025, but does make sense for the long term plan for this team. I think we bring in another WR (Palmer, Renfrow, Corley, etc) and really AT shouldn’t be relied upon for more than a WR3 or WR4 security blanket for any team. I also think this is Dan doing a solid for a vet that wants to retire in Minny. A 4th is about fair value for what AT meant for this team in 2026 and beyond. I loved Thielen’s vet presence but I think our blueprint is setting up for 2026 to be the year we talk serious playoff run and he was not a part of that run.
  3. I'd be for this. Loved him in the draft process and surprised he slid. Can't hurt to bring him in and defnitely think he takes DJ's spot as and run stuffing EDGE.
  4. If Thornton has a Richardson-esque year one, it will be a W. I like him as a 4th CB, but prefer him as a fifth or sixth CB in his rookie year....less pressure. I really thought based on early TC chatter that Bartholomew would have looked better. It is only preseason, but I hope he shines more in Houston and vs. Pitt. I do love the bottom of the roster churn that this FO continues to sift through. Coker, Richardson, and now Thornton.
  5. I'm not going to freak out over a preseason game, but mannnnnnn, that was pretty pitiful from Andy. Going up against backups and 3's trying to make the team and he looked like dog $hit. We shouldn't see much of him this year, but I'd be interested during cut time if we maybe pivot. A Sam Howell/Trey Lance type shakes free, I'd be all for it.
  6. I personally would take Renfrow over Moore if the former truly is back to his old form. FWIW though, I wouldn't use ink yet on Renfrow making this roster over Moore. Sheena Quick was on WFNZ this morning saying that if she had to choose bw the two, she thinks Moore makes it over Renfrow.
  7. Heading into the '26 draft, I would've said LB was our R1 pick and that does not look like it will change for me. I also think a LB will shake free from a team between now and week 1 that is in the Mike Jackson cornerback tier of player. Whether its a trade or cut, I think Dan will bring in some competition. I'm not a huge fan of the FA crop that's left, so we shall see. Rozeboom is not that far off of Josey, IMO and I feel that the coaching staff sees that too. Wishing the best for Jewell to get better and live life.
  8. Wilson > Tet or any WR in this draft class now and more than likely in the future. Wilson is about to hit that level-up year that we've seen good WRs elevate to great WRs. GW will be a top-8 WR in the league and I'd give up #8 for his skillset alongside 17 & 18. Zero risk vs. some risk with whoever we draft at 8. Complete the offense with a true #1 for Bryce. Fix the defense in FA and move up in R2. We would have three 4th rounders to move around and/or add depth.
  9. I'd like to see the final stretch of games this year with a consitent unit of Icky-Lewis-BC-Hunt-Moton. They seem to be our strongest group together but haven't played a ton together due to injury. If/when we move on from Moton, I think Icky would be the better RT and keep BC at LT. IDK if Mays or Raym is the answer at C, but the latter could be a gem with another year or so under his belt. After seeing what Coker and Richardson have done for us in the UDFA market, testing out a true C from a school like OU gives me hope.
  10. Living in Seahawk country, I got a little lowdown from a good friend of mine. In a nutshell, he said we got a good one. Jackson isn't going to be confused for the second coming of Patrick Peterson or Revis, but he said he's sad to see him go. He said it was inevitable since they've drafted two young CBs that are studs and have a lot of talent at the position. Physical and good technique and lots of fans liked how he filled in when the younger guys went down with injury. Seems like a solid win-win for both teams.
  11. Praying for a speedy and healthy recovery, Mr. Scot. One of my favorites on here.
  12. I wonder if Dan and his buddy Shoen get together to discuss one of the QBs there. Lock seems to be the #2, I wonder if DeVito could be had. If they choose to keep Tommy D, maybe Lock becomes available. Toss them a 7th in a year or two and have insurance in case Andy is done, done. Red Rifle, though a great QB2, will be 37 this year.
  13. Minimal concerns here. We have several serviceable backs sans Brooks with a RBBC approach. Though Penny won't be relied upon heavily, his signing is now looking like a solid move. I'd rather have a fully healthy Brooks for 8 games than rush him along to start the season. He always was a long-term piece, not a 2024 piece, IMO.
  14. This is an interesting take that I'm not sure enough folks are talking about. Not the trading part, but the walk year that he's entering. Only guaranteed back on this roster next year is Brooks. That's not to say that Hubbard couldn't be re-signed....just seems more unlikely, than likely. Miles makes the most sense to be cut/traded due to his contract, but Chuba being a FA & the direction that the league is trending with not paying backs 2nd contracts, makes this a real possiblity too.
  15. It's interesting for sure. Corbett has been our best OL the past couple of years, when healthy. He and Moton are plug and play, without concern. He has the build and IQ to make the move, but it's not necessarily that easy to just "cut and paste" with success. A couple of things in Corbett's favor: Film junky, high IQ and vocal leader of the OL already Has a connection already with BY9 Experience > rookie is always preferred at C, especially at a position that is critical for Young's success in only his second year. IIRC, wasn't Corbett responsible for the hand signals last year on snap counts. Leads me to believe he had personnel responsibilities and played a part in protection slides and identifying the Mike. Body type and style of play is a fit for C We still need to draft one this year, but it doesn't have to be a top-tier Frazier/JPJ kind per se.
  16. I think he's the selection in R2 for us based on Morgan and the need for someone with a high IQ and work ethic to wear the green dot. I also think 33 will be traded to kick off day two as it often is. So, my crystal ball that means absolutely nothing is WR at 39 and then with our selection probably in the late 40s/early 50's would be Wilson. We drafted Kuechly when the "need" wasn't really there. Wilson's red flags are health, but he was outstanding this past year at staying on the field. Two torn ACLs but with a guy like Thomas Davis still connected here and the last injury for Wilson coming 3 years ago, I'd say if the medicals are cleared, he's as healthy as TD was. A hybrid TD/Kuechly is what Morgan probably sees in Wilson, and the rookie would fit opposite Jewell's lack of coverage/range like a glove. We can still grab a C at 65 and add TE, CB and EDGE. Something like: - Legette - Wilson - Van Pran or Bortollini - Wiley - Brownlee
  17. I am all about giving TMJ another year to see what he can do under Canales and Idzik's guidance. Not to make excuses for TMJ because he's brought a good portion of it on himself, but he hasn't been set up to succeed either. He has the traits and experience at LSU that you look for and was only 20 when drafted, so he still has time to prove himself. I would give him this year to step up and see if the light has switched on for him yet. No harm in the competition.
  18. Don't get me excited on Barton. He was taking some C snaps today at his pro-day and Jeremiah thinks he's a center in the NFL. I assumed he'd be off the board along with JPJ.
  19. Does Thomas or Shipley intrigue you at all for us breaking the drought? I think Thomas can be that EDGE we need, while not having to blow a 2nd on him.
  20. I'm not a Clemson fan, but would kicking the tires on Isaiah Simmons as a depth/Chinn-type find a role in Evero's defense? 25 years old and can be depth at that hybrid LB/SAF spot. Would be cheap and if he looks lost, we cut him in August.
  21. I know it's an epic feat to do a 7-round mock for all 32 teams and respect that Matt even did this. That being said, I'm not a fan of the selections given who was still on the board when he made those. A tackle being the selection at 39 when a center like Frazier was still on the board or a CB like McKinstry is just not going to happen here. The day 3 picks were pretty meh too given who was still available for us. It is what it is.....national writer can only know so much.
  22. I've read about how important it is to have a knowledgable C running the show with all of the communication, protections, pre-snap decision making, etc. That being said, Frazier looks NFL ready day 1 and I really hope he is a Panther at 33 or 39. There's still good talent at the position that we can get at 65, but Frazier is a bonafide stud. His wrestling background and nastiness in the trenches intrigues me a lot.
  23. Clowney is the best option but is probably using Carolina for leverage elsewhere and who knows when he signs. Lawson is the guy I really want. 28, a true 3-4 EDGE and can create havoc still, if healthy. He has to be the pivot if Clowney falls through. I know Danna is a young guy, but he seemed to line up a lot with his hand in the dirt at end vs. standing up outside. Or maybe it was just the YT vids I saw. Idk. Just sign Lawson.
  24. There's a very good chance a player like Brenden Rice or Javon Baker is there at 65, if we went speedy/shifty WR in R1 (McConkey, Worthy, Franklin, Pearsall) and wanted to double dip in R3. I personally think we are locked in on Coleman, McConkey and Legette (in that order) at 33. I think a re-signed Diontae + Coleman + Mingo + ISM is a very balanced young core 1-4 for Bryce for the next 3 years. Let this coaching staff try to turn Temble into Otton and/or find our TE1 in '25.
