  1. Ah yes, now that I think about it, I’m just now remembering all your threads the last two years begging for everyone to think of the safety of PJ Walker. Thank god you weren’t in the war room in 01 or Smitty would have never donned the black and blue.
  2. Only delusion I’m seeing here is your irrational hatred for Bryce. the “eye test” isn’t about size and never has been. Bryce absolutely passes the “eye test” with flaming colors, He’s just undersized. If you were to hide Bryce from the all 22, you’d have absolutely no idea he is the size he is, because the dude balls. But ultimately size, eye test, etc. doesn’t mean poo if you don’t have the intangibles for the position see: Jamarcus Russell Ryan Mallett Malik Willis Josh Rosen Sam Darnold Zach Wilson Ryan Leaf i actually do like AR and Stroud as well and honestly would not be upset with any of them, but “looking the part” is far from everything. Especially from a position as mentally demanding as QB.
  3. “Who would they pick in the schoolyard if they never watched any of them play football?” is not the argument you think it is. This is the same logic that got Russell picked 1st overall in 2007 I do have concerns about Bryce’s size, it’s natural to, but I think if he can stay healthy the dude will absolutely ball out.
  4. I disagree. I think the addition of bell will allow Chinn to play more of a joker/hybrid role and stay in the box where he shines best.
  5. Would love either of these. Started the process favoring Stroud but have come around to Young the last few weeks. I'll be excited either way. I doubt Kincaid or Sanders are available for 39 but would be ecstatic about either.
  6. Bruh this is the second time you’ve posted this, no one cares.
  7. Weird right? I can’t find any NFL website mocks that correspond with those picks
  8. This doesn’t merit its own thread but I noticed this morning if you look at Young’s NFL draft prospect page on mobile, it says he was drafted by us. However it doesn’t show if you look at it from desktop. Obviously most likely means nothing but just thought it was interesting EDIT: correction, it shows on desktop as well
  9. Man some of y’all really make the biggest deal about the most minuscule poo. No one in this draft is a sure bet, including Young.
  10. Doesn’t matter how ripped you are if you can’t accurately throw a ball. poo, the greatest QB of all time came into the league looking like a highschool sophomore. CJ looks absolutely fine for an nfl qb. Tape > athletic traits, especially for a QB. This is a lazy post.
  11. I hope we either grab a dude like Downs in the second or, if we're somehow able to also land Chark, grab a dude like Darnell Washington, Kincaid, or Musgrave to compliment Hurst, kinda like how we had Olsen and Shockey in Cam's rookie year
  12. Makes me miss the old days of the all pro section.
  13. You throw any of the guys we’re looking at in at HC after Rhule was fired and I don’t think a lot of them fair better than 6-6 given where the team was at the time. Id rather us not go Wilks/defensive coach and get Rivera era 2.0, and much prefer Steichen, Kafka or Reich, but give credit where it’s due - I don’t think 6-6 is jaw dropping or outstanding, but it’s definitely not mediocre given the situation at the time.
  14. Cam is one of my favorite panthers of all time but if I see one more comment about how we should bring him back I’m gonna lose my poo. I love Cam, but the dude isn’t a starting QB in the league anymore and hasn’t been for a while. It sucks but it’s the truth.
  15. To be fair I think paying big money to one of the shortest shelf life positions in the NFL and running your entire offense through one guy is just as much to blame for the position we’re in as the trading away of draft capital.
  16. Two firsts was never, ever ever going to happen dude. Multiple firsts is pretty much franchise QB territory only (See: Stafford, Wilson, and Browns Predator trades). Wilsons having a rough year but at the time of the trade, that's what he was viewed as. CMC is awesome no doubt, and you can make whatever argument you want about him playing more if we were contending, but at the end of the day he's a 26 year old RB who hasn't finished, or even played half a season in years. Whether it's deserved or not, he has a reputation around the league now as injury prone and will until he plays most of at least a full season or two, and he's on a pretty big contract to boot. If you take the emotional element out of it, it's not a bad trade at all.
  17. Two firsts for a guy who hasn’t played a full season in three years? I love CMC dude but absolutely was never a chance. A first was a long shot in the first place
  18. I honestly think most of the negative reaction here is just how much he's loved as a player, myself included. I actually think this is a solid haul of picks, its just one of those players that hurts to see go no matter what.
  19. Will never understand the people that look at the helmet and nothing else. Stroud looks like an entirely different QB.
  20. byron or demeco for me. who the hell knows a few months from now though
  21. We’d be giving up capital for a dude to MAYBE win five or six games at most when we need every pick we can get right now. Pass.
