Panthers playbook Cox and Rhea review of the game
PantherChris replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree, about that but mostly for Bryce and the offensive line outside of one play both looked sharp Bryce had excellent command patience and vision very much looking as he did at the end of last year that's what I need to see consistently. -

The Browns didnt rest all of their starters on defense let that fallacy drop... much the same way we did they just rested their irreplaceable defenders, it was 7 starters and 4 second stringers, that our ones faced on both drives not 2nd and 3rd stringers. Play action middle depth routes seemed to be the focus last night, when they were on the field. Apart from on bad pass rep (were we don't know the assignments but Jake and Smitty both seem to believe the scrub Carter blew his assignment) and a slightly under thrown dump off route Bryce had to take on his third read, they moved the ball at will vs them and scored a TD. -
Cherelus down. We need to be talking about LBs even more

At his age only a band aid but that is ABSOLUTELY a call that should be made... -

This ^^^^ nothing to wig over or prentend it was perfect.... Did what they were supposed too, as far as YAC goes without Renfrow playing we don't really have any true "creators" go for YAC without running designed YAC plays (which we didn't) -
Literally as you made this post he was practicing... but yeah hes a monster

It's a preseason game, but...losing is not an option.

Like fine wine this one aged it did! -
Dalton yeah no excuse for how bad he was... Christenson I give a bit of a pass he was playing down on the 3rd string with scrubs not a great look but we don't know what assignments were. The Run D..... I'm completely reserving judgement when it was the starters no Brown, Wharton at nose tackle... setting the edge on outside runs is always more difficult in a 3-4 like to see improvement here though.

Oooof egg face lmfao the last play offensive play i watched was the TMAC "drop" for some reason I saw i thought he said Mike and was comparing their hands

Yea i was sore we lost him too I remember everyone wigging but the length of the deal and the $$ just screamed of a guy betting on himself and trying to maximize his skills set were he played (which wash has) -
Obviously no brown or horn but still most points allowed in NFL history.... People's expectations shouldn't be for a good defense the ceiling for them should be hoping we can rank 24th overall
-
Oh I knew that one well had him for 5 catches on fanduel lol I googled 2024 drops to provide proof and didn't have to click anything right at the top.
-
Agreed but we already knew this team doesn't have any depth especially defensively the only two above average defnders we have didnt play. Now had the starters looked like complete poo like years past I'd be right there burning the wagons with you. It's also an expectations thing, I know its been a a long time but fixing an NFL all time worst defense isn't an overnight thing. If Bryce can keep that kind of play up and we can win 7 games thats progress to me.

Watching it again it would be XL on the crosser in the regular season i also imagine TMAc would have had an option route to the inside for an easy pickup
-
Is this spoken un ironically???? Mike Evans averages 11 drops a year and last year he had 19! Including a 6 drop game dont let things like facts get in the way
-
It's grain of salt but Bryces field vision and command of the offense were encouraging
-
Lol the world is falling never fails to amaze me, The defense didn't have Jaycee Horn or Derrick Brown (the only two players on it who are not just stars but heck above average) No Damien Lewis on offense (not a coincidence that the fourth string scrub Carter ended our first drive.)
-
A good cue is when the only two 0-16 teams in NFL history were 4-0 in the pre season. And four 0-4 teams have won the SB, 5 1-3 i believe? So what does this tell us? The pre season is meaningless. It's about individual marchups there is no game planning, situational play calling ect for most coaches.... Those 0-16 teams? Yep you guessed it they were known to have coaches who did both in the pre season.
-
Yawn its always internet coaches/badazzes that say sh*t like that I 100% gurentee you wouldn't say that to me IRL. And your the same guy who thinks the last pick of round 1 has to be a first year star on a bad team or hes a bust.... Go coach your kids flag football team and stfu, you sound like the drunk guy at the bar blames the QB for the defense giving up a 99 yard TD. Get your eyes checked too lol. Awh now your pooping me I must have hurt your feeewlings

It's pre season and it seemed pretty obvious the goal tonight was to evaluate receivers and linemen in pass pro... in the pre season its not about balance or game situations. And I kinda give him a pass for last year seeing as how often we trailed by double digits early.

Winners and Losers: Preseason Game 1
PantherChris replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
Add J Morgan Guard to that loser list dude blocked air and ended the first drive. -
Ssssshsh rationality isnt allowed in here! They have to have something to riot over

Lol all good I'm just old enough now I dont knee jerk reaction much (helps that I quit drinking two years ago lol) Evero is straight a straight 🗑 dumpster fire dude had a very talented Denver D. All he does is play coverage (was it greenbay were he dropped 10!!!??? Guys in coverage and rushed a safety?) and when he doesn't have the talent to do that he sends incredibly predictable blitzes..... It's crazy how everyone got scapegoated but him
-
I switched to baseball after the fumbled kick. Watching 2nd and 3rd stringers play on a team lacking any depth is a non interest to me. I liked what Bryce did and Tmac looked good hope it continues that's my only take away tonight.
-
Heard? He played with him for 5 years lol

First thing you've said all night that I actually agree with lmfao how you keep the coordinator who gave up the most points in NFL HISTORY is beyond me
