  1. I knew it all along. Two firsts and Derrick Brown was not gonna work.
  2. Coker was/is hardly our best receiver. No need to debate it; wait and see the results.
  3. QBs and Kickers, we have a problem with that.
  4. Hell, I can't even get my original name back because the server won't send out the email to change the password which I obviously forgot. So, now I have two (or three) accounts. Still loyal as ever though. I think that's a good thing...
  5. Damned typos. That used to rarely happen before the age of the Internet. I should probably give it five minutes after awakening from my slumber. poo, that won't probably help either.
  6. Meh. Some guys are three-down backs. Hell, that's really how it always used to be. CMC was a special back (when he was on the field). Ironically his body has afforded others plenty of playing time, no matter how "selfish"of can he was/is.
  7. Well, I do remember Renfrow saying in so many words that it was the Panthers or bust.
  8. It makes too much sense to bring Renfrow back, and that's why we'll do it. It makes too much sense to bring Renfrow back, and that's why we won't do it. We're going to see what kind of GM and HC that we really have.
  9. I mean, he's a free agent, if we want him and he wants to return, it's a done deal. He has the choice of date with any actual suitors.
  10. I actually think that it's a good thing. Bryce has to develop. A QB worth his salt isn't going to be reliant upon a senior citizen (in football years). Actually, it should make the entire receiving corps better. We'll certainly get to see what's what this year without an old security blanket.
  11. Bryce fanboys? Really? Do they actually exist? Was it ever really a thing?
  12. He's gone. You should be happy.
  13. Yeah, we've sucked for so long that some Panthers fans forgot what top-shelf talent looks like.
  14. I was just getting ready to say the exact same thing.
  15. The Panthers FO certainly doesn't believe in the KISS mantra. It certainly doesn't make me feel all fuzzy towards Morgan and Canales. Makes me think of Rhule and Fitterer to be honest.
  16. You weren't the only one. We kept an inferior receiver, but Renfrow did have health issues (I did qualify that his stay was based on health). I still can't believe we kept an inferior receiver. Oh boy...
  17. Guma math a thèid le do shlàinte, Scot.
  18. "Pitts hasn't matched the heights of his rookie campaign, but has shown flashes here and there that his talent remains." "After injuries and inconsistency slowed his development in recent years. The Falcons are playing it by the ear and could explore a trade that sends Pitts to the Carolina Panthers, giving the team a fresh start and a chance to play with a franchise quarterback in Bryce Young and rejuvenate his young career." "Carolina bringing Pitts on board will add to the collection of talent that is at [disposal] for the offense." https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nfl/nfl-trade-predictions-rumors-atlanta-falcons-kyle-pitts-carolina-panthers-2118278
  19. I have to admit that I have never heard of Enzo Flojo, but I kind of like this Clutch Points' writer's name. It flows. When I saw his trade hypothetical, I thought about it, and I kind of like it as well. But would our FO actually do it, in light of their draft last year? And would the Falcons do it, considering that the Panthers are a division rival, and are they ready to admit a sunk cost? "Kyle Pitts hasn’t lived up to his draft billing yet, but his potential is too tantalizing to ignore. For the cost of a Day 3 pick, the Panthers could secure a tight end who gives Bryce Young the safety net he desperately needs. With McMillan, Legette, and Thielen stretching defenses on the outside, Pitts could thrive in a featured role in Carolina’s offense." That's an interesting proposition. I expect to hear the arguments about giving Sanders' time and our much-needed draft capital. Sanders may surprise, yeah, but he had an opportunity to take the position by the horns last year and wrestle it away from Tremble. And, of course we have Mitchell Evans who will likely be a good all-around backup, but neither guy has the upside of Pitts. And for a day three pick---if we could actually unlock Pitts' true potential as the glorified WR that he is, then he'd make a compelling number three option and safety valve that may play well with Bryce Young's game. https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/last-minute-trade-panthers-must-make-week-1-2025-nfl-season
  20. Well damn. In light of the Thielen rumor, I was trying to see whether John Metchie would be cut, but he was traded to the Eagles almost a week ago.
