My post answers this question quite thoroughly.  What is the point in trashing him?  Does it make you feel better? Nobody is in disagreement about his play needing to improve and that starts with the OL, WRs, coaching, etc.  If he still can't get it done, he will be replaced.  I have been endorsing a trade down to add a second rounder in the 2025 draft so that we can move up if we need to for a QB next year.  That is covering the reality that he might not be the answer, but I also know that blaming him and ignoring the conditions he was asked to perform in is not fair to him.  Give him his tools.

^^^^^ voice of reason right here....

Im not calling you a super fan just saying as a 2 win team reality has set in and we just arent good no matter how someone wants to fluff it up

    not good yet.

we haven't seen what Canales can do with this team or what this team is going to look like after Morgan and Canales gets done making this the team they envision.

we were a 2 win season last year. what we are this coming year has yet to be decided on. lots of reason to believe it will be better if you choose to buy in to and risk having a little bit of hope.

thats the ride, Ill always enjoy it, at some point we have to figure a way for another fun season.  But a 2 win team does have a certain train wreck element to it

But being positive just to be positive to try and be some super fan is pretty wild all things considered

it's not being positive just to be positive. it's looking for reasons to be positive because i hate feeling like crap about the team. until this iteration of the panthers proves otherwise, i choose to believe that they can figure out a way to not suck and actually be fun to watch again.

and superfan...lol. i'm just a guy that always tries to look for the good.

The biggest knock on Cam was that Cam was such a superstar, once in a generation talent that the coaches leaned too heavily on him, that the rest of the team leaned too heavily on them, the management of the team just sat back and didn't build like they should have, and that in the end, no matter how much Cam believed he was that guy, one man can't win you a Super Bowl.

Cam took up most the oxygen in the room, always has, always will, he's just that big of a deal. And sometimes that's just how it works out. Marino had the same effect. Rodgers was always a threat of being that way. The game revolves around the QB, doubtless, but there has to be more to it than that.

We had other guys, certainly, like Luke and TD, Double Trouble and Jordan Gross. But it was the Cam show, make no bones about it. And we just never built it to be more than that.

with that much talent it's a damn shame that we didn't have at least one ring. we should have been a team that was making a deep run in the playoffs every year. the fact that we didn't win more is a fault of management....from the GM's office and the coaching staff.

we had the talent, not the management.

For those wanting to know what he has been up to this offseason….

"Literally. Nothing," he replied with a laugh. "I was kind of away from football for the most part, just living every other aspect of my life”

Of course, you don't end up winning a Heisman or being picked first overall if you're too good at laying about doing nothing. And he admitted that sleeping in lasted all of about a week, at which point he got back to morning workouts and getting ready for the physical challenges to come.

Those are mock drafts and in a scenario where there is a crazy run on WRs, he could sneak into the back half of the first round. Is that likely?  I'd put a 1% chance on it.

I'm familiar with that draft site and they have HUNDREDS of mock drafts, so yes, you can find some with some outliers.

That was the first page of them. And that crazy run is highly likely to happen. What's highly unlikely he'd make it out of the second round. Same with a lot of WRs. 14-15 could be gone by the end of the second and he's probably about the middle of that pack.

yep, I'm all about the WR double dip.  Skill position O overall in the draft.  Throw a bunch young talent out there against the wall.  Something will stick/hit.

go rent Gilmore and rent a backup C in FA.

Good few OCs will be taken in this draft. Might see a vet get cut. Maybe.

But get Gilly after the draft and just roll with all offensive playmakers this draft. Throw them all out there and have some real competition.

yeah, the combine changed things for him IMO.  He went from bottom of 2/top of 3.....to bottom of 1/top of 2.

Plus, there's a lot of talk about the possibility of 14 WRs taken the first 2 rounds.

    14.

Wanting to sit back and wait for a WR in the 3rd round is going to be a mistake . If we have 2 WRs we want in this draft, we better damn make sure we take them in the 2nd and then roll with that BPA thing after.

I would not judge the offense by how it looks in preseason.  It will be vanilla.  Having said that, last preseason definitely was a foreshadowing of things to come.  So who knows.

i don't know, i think it may have looked better in preseason.

it definitely looked better in TC last year.

100% of Panther fans should be wanting him to be working on things that he was weak at or could improve at, or just working on anything he can think of to make himself better at his job.

It seems the disagreement is over whether or not fans are entitled to know the details. Why would anybody Not want to hear that he is working?

It is true that no one is obligated to give us reports. But I think that if they are doing something to rehab their shortcomings and weak areas, it is a better idea to put that out there, than to say nothing.

on the grand scheme it doesn't matter at all to see these videos except to make some fans happy and it's likely mostly those fans who think he's a bust/bum anyways.

we think it's important for us to know, but really it's not.

the thing is, if he was posting that stuff, people who already don't like him would find a way to negatively spin it anyways, saying it's just for publicity and things like "i'll wait til i see it in real games" or whatever.

people who aren't satisfied with not seeing wouldn't be satisfied with anything they actually saw because they already made up their minds and are just looking for anything to confirm what they think they know and whatever they see or don't see is just further confirmation in their minds.

for me, i'm going to give this coaching staff and their working with players the benefit of the doubt.

I have seen Legette going higher in a few mocks, but for the most part, he is a mid second round guy.  I like the kid--and he WANTS to be here-that is saying something.  I remember when we signed Star Loutulei or whatever, from Utah and he said at his presser (paraphrasing):  I guess I know now where I will be living for the next four or five years."

Legette is a boom or bust pick.  Of course, that translate to bust by the time the Huddle processes it.  He is a 21 year old kid who wants to play for his home state team and he is talking it up.  Good for him.

yep. i mean this could be huge for us. not just excited about getting a job in the NFL, but excited about playing for his home team? there's no doubting his work ethic. the guy has constantly pushed himself for more opportunity and to make the most of those opportunities and never gave up. he could have easily transferred to another school who would have given him more opportunity but he stuck with it.
