USA Today:

"Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White are very good. But they’re not good enough to offset a serious contender for the league’s worst defense. Desmond Trufont and Robert Alford are fine young corners, but outside of them, Atlanta’s defense is devoid of talent. The pass rush is non-existent and the run defense is now allowing 153 rushing yards per game. On Sunday, they had Teddy Bridgewater, Matt Asiata and Jarius Wright looking like the 90’s Cowboys."

NFL.com:

"It's tough to watch the Falcons play defense. Their young cornerbacks are talented, but they can't cover for six seconds every play while opposing quarterbacks relax and survey the field. They have two quarterback hits in the last two weeks combined. Their only sack on Sunday against Eli Manning came after he had plenty of time to throw. ... the Falcons ' lack of a pass rush will make it tough to win games"

we have 0 pass rush. ZERO. Our secondary would be GREAT if we had any type of pass rush. Trufant is putting up top 5 numbers so far this year despite that. I can't imagine how we'd look if we had any pass rush. The run game is because our LBs suck a fat chode. Worrilow consistently picks the wrong hole and doesn't drive rather he gets driven. Bartu is fine in coverage poo in the run game. Our DTs are actually pretty solid shockingly. They maintain their lanes and get decent enough pressure. but we have no type of rush from the outside and i mean none. and our blitz's suck.

Yahoo Sports:

"Matt Forte had the monster day we all imagined he'd have against Atlanta's not-so-stout defense, gaining 157 yards, catching ten balls and finding the end-zone twice. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery dominated the Falcons DBs, each topping 100 yards, and Jay Cutler passed for a season high 381 yards while avoiding game-altering turnovers."

    • Yeah lol well the interest isn’t really about seeking stimulation.  I wanted to see how actually bad it was.  And how much of it was women setting him up to be their cash cow.  That is the stuff that leveraged the Panthers into David Tepper’s hands. It is important in that sense.     The worst that I have heard is that he got them in the car and clumsily reached across to help them with their seat belt and made contact. With his arm. That was probably his big slick move. And I can almost guarantee he wasn’t rejected every time. It is easy to picture that action bringing his head close enough to the woman’s head to where he could go in for the kiss if he thought he got the green light.    I really don’t care if JR was a horn dog. We heard all our lives up until the last few years that one of the perks of being really old is that you can flirt with the young women and it is not just tolerated but expected. So he was keeping a tradition alive at some point 😂
    • Well I rubbed some dirt on it and am still here just not optimistic about the future of the QB position. Even what I had accepted as a ceiling raised to an acceptable level turned out to be a bit of a mirage, upon rewatch of the WC game.  Good plays were there yes, but some pretty bad ones too that the good ones late in the game kind of obscured. I have to downgrade that a little.  Especially after rewatching the last 4 plays. I remember the arguments about he did his job the WRs didn’t but that was really just that last muff by Coker I think it was on our final offensive play.   To the future: I know what my level is for paying him and recommitting, but I don’t have any confidence that the team shares my high bar.    But thanks for the pep talk
