2015 Los Angeles Dodgers Thread.

It's the freaking Dodgers. I think friedman and zaidi will pull something out of their butts and get a high quality player.

At first I was all for Tulowitzki but with Rollins on the team that went out the window. IT would have been nice to have landed Cespedes from Boston. Imagine Puig and Cespedes in the same outfield that would be awesome.

Can't say I'm upset to see Howie go. I know on paper his numbers looked pretty good but this guy frustrated me almost as much as CJ Wilson does.

He'll hit into his fair share of double plays and I won't miss watching him chase that breaking ball in the dirt.

A FA next season I'm glad the Angels flipped him while they did.

From what I hear some of these Dodger roster moves were also for the clubhouse as Kemp and co weren't always good team mates.

I look forward to seeing the 2 Pros the Dodgers now have on either side of 2nd base help lead this team.

I think this trade is going to work out great for both teams as the Angels need quality starting pitching.

Yep Howie from everything I've ever heard is a class act.

I had heard something about what you mentioned but now that you're saying it too it totally makes sense why they traded him. I like what the dodgers have done this offseason. Rollins and Howie like you said will definitely help out in the clubhouse something that the dodgers needed

Yeah I can't imagine Shields has much left in the tank and I'm sure he's asking for atleast a 4 year deal.

Scherzer I want absolutely no part of. I think he's overrated and a team would be stupid to give him a 200 million dollar contract.

Hamels seems like the best option out there for teams like ours. However, I want the Angels to hold off till next off season when there will be a better selection of FA starting pitchers. My dream would be Cueto but with the Reds trading Latos I doubt Cueto ever sees free agency. Also Jeff Samardzija is someone I really like.

Despite the average w/l record for Hamels last year, he actually had his best season in terms of WAR. Hamels just turned 30 so who knows how we will perform going forward. He was never the ace on his team like Halladay or Lee was so perhaps all he may be is a #3-#4.

If I were to make a trade for a pitcher, I would like to go for Tim Lincecum. I really do believe that he still has something left in the tank and he just needs a mental reset. He has all the skills and perhaps a move down the state will help him get back to his Cy Young days.

Just no way I could go for Lincecum.

Spent too much time yelling at this idiot for his bad hair as the Dodgers beat his asse at Dodger stadium.

Just a reminder what we get to look forward to for this coming season. I actually miss watching the Dodgers a lot.

Still no deal with TWC for Dodger broadcast rights for DirecTV or anywhere else for that matter.

Seriously pisses me off I may be shut out of Dodger broadcasts for a 2nd year running.

    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
