Starting DeAngelo Williams tomorrow?

I'm somehow sitting at 7-1 with the highest point total despite my RB2 situation being the worst or close to the worst in my league (it's a keeper league).

I'm currently planning on trotting out DeAngelo tomorrow night vs the Saints. Pretty risky, I suppose, but my choices are limited to:

DeAngelo Williams

Tre Mason

Charles Sims (if activated)

Isaiah Crowell

Carlos Hyde

I could pick up:

Lorenzo Taliaferro

Jonas Gray

Bobby Rainey

Jeremy Hill (maybe, was just dropped and is on waivers until 11/1, wouldn't use a waiver claim, would just hope I can get him as a free agent after waivers clear)

Any thoughts here? What do you guys expect of DeAngelo tomorrow, in his first game back? I could see 60 rushing yards and maybe 20 receiving, with about a 20% chance of a TD.

If I had to predict actual stats:

DWill - 72 yards rushing, 18 yards receiving on 2 catches,  1 TD

JStew - 53 yards rushing, 1 catch for 7 yards, 1 TD

But I am 1-7 right now, thanks to the Adrian Peterson debacle, injuries at RB, and Cam missing week 1 and being on his back too much the rest of the season.

    • Why is it a no-brainer? I mean the idea of a hold out made me laugh out loud.
    • Oh, oh. I see what you are saying. Yeah but not all of those were draft for draft replacements. Jones was a dumpster dive. The overall point I was making is that it is becoming more common to see this quick pivots as people realize their mistakes. It happens with a lot of busts historically at QB.  IDK about "most teams" have fast, capable WR's. It's a mixed bag across the league. There are the Hopkins, Evans, etc that aren't sub-4.5 guys and are still star players.
    • So if it comes down to that, and it played out, we could be looking at a post June 1 designation for his 5th year money at best. Assuming it is guaranteed which I don’t know.     13.25 mil cap hit in 2027 and 2028.   I have to admit I never really went into the angles after picking up the option. I have always been don’t do it.    So, you pay him the 12 mil for year 4 and if you want out when they go into extension lobbying you trade or cut.  Is that conceivable?   The thing about trading is, I believe all the guaranteed money hits your cap right then. That’s 26.5 million if correct.  So if they picked up the 5th, this would cover the ‘we want out’ expenses from our end, after year 4.   Correct?
