Right now, I don't see how Seattle doesn't repeat.

I am not buying Seattle as anything near a lock to win the Super Bowl.

When you look at their late season run closely, the quality of opposition is very questionable.

I think they probably get by Green Bay, but I don't expect a repeat of week 1 when they steamrolled the Pack for over 200 rushing yards...if Rodgers were healthy, well...

In any event, I can see either New England or Indianapolis beating them...

The Pats because of Belichick and Brady and the Colts simply because they have already done it, hanging 34 points on the 'Hawks in a win during Seattle's Super Bowl run last season...

  Yea its iffy. It would be difficult to implement without moving to a soft cap/luxury tax model like NBA and MLB. NHL pulled off guaranteed contracts with a hard cap, but I don't think that's realistic outside the NHL. I don't think a luxury tax model would be good for the product, even if its good for the players. Even though we would probably benefit from it because Tepper would be like the dude who owns the NY Mets now.
