Is this Jake's last season?

Let me start this off by saying I hope Jake is our QB for at least 2 more years as long as his production doesn't decline heavily and I hope that Moore is the QB after that.

Somewhat unrelated to Jake but how does the uncapped year next year work with Jakes huge extension if he gets released? I'm assuming the cap hit will be big but I also assume if he has a bad year his release wouldn't hurt so bad with no salary cap? If we have to take the cap hit wouldn't it be in 2010 when there is no cap rather than say a year later when presumably there will be another salary cap in place?

So I guess my question is does that make sense? Is that how it works?
