Once again, a PANTHERS WIN!!!  9 & 0.  SWEET.

Here's a thread for stats & analysis.  Please share any interesting statistics & articles and analysis you come across.

This is shaping up to be a record-breaking season on so many levels.  A lot of records and tired narratives about the Panthers have already been shattered...

I'm trying to finish a report for work tonight, so I won't post much tonight.  More tomorrow evening, I hope, assuming I have better internet and can watch the game replay.

But just saw this tweet from BBR, and it was so exciting, I wanted to post it tonight, even if I can't post much else.

58 yards next Sunday from Cam moves him to #2 behind P. Manning in terms of best yards by a QB in his first 5 seasons.  WOW WOW WOW.  Definitely ELITE.

And Steve Young's rushing TDs by QB record is nearly Cam's now too....

Most combined yds rush & pass, 1st 5 seasons:

1. P.Manning - 21,174

2. M.Ryan - 19,457

3. D.Marino - 19,428

4. C.Newton - 19,400

Olsen?  I thought it was a 3rd, but I could be wrong.  I hardly knew much about the Panthers in 2011.

Youre right it was a third but still a deal.

    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
    • I hope we are as improved as a lot of fans are hoping. However, this time of year everyone in the league thinks they have improved. It will be interesting.
    • How many new starters will we have on defense?  That could be a good thing given how bad the D was last year, but it could also take some time for them to gel.
