Schefter claims Chiefs still cleaning house..

Adam Schefter on ESPN insider has an article that the Chiefs are still looking to clean house of the old regime. This brings up another oppurtunity for the Panthers to get Dorsey and end this DT crap once and for all! Who are we going to bring in now that Leonard is done. They cant be asking a lot for this guy, he is just plain useless on that team as a 3-4 DE! He is not even starting anymore. Get this done so we can stop the defensive turnstile running backs are moving through..PLEASE!!

For us or for them...I believe they would have to take most of the hit, dont quote me on it. But better for it to count against them now than later..They are going to have to pay him regardless, but atleast let the guy start elsewhere and take what you can get..He really doesnt even start anymore, thats terrible for a 4th overall pick and its not because of talent, its because he is in the wrong scheme completely!

I knwo it would have been great 2 months ago, and i stated it than..but the point of the thread is that Schefter says the CHiefs are still in sell mode, and starting 0-2 is helping their cause. We can still go out and get this guy and "maybe" save our season because the way the D looks right now, we are screwed..If he can get any push whatsoever from the inside its a dramatic improvement over what we got, and cant hurt Peppers cause either..Not to mention he is young and has STUD potential..

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
