Safety play

This has been the season for the D besides the lack of pass rush.

Norman wouldnt have done anything today.

This group has looked as lost as Nakamura.  Norman had his first Big year last year.  In zone D he doesnt shadow guys around and safeties are reponsible for a Good 40% of coverage.  Coleman had a ProBowl year last year and Harper while slow, didnt  make mistakes.

These young guys have made some mistakes but Boston has looked lost and Coleman as well slid over at the other spot.  You saw the first long pass to Julio to start the game.  Worley loo,ed to get toasted, but there was a reason he got up furious pointing and yelling at the safeties.  Remember when ODB looked to burn Norman but he said it wasnt his play on the D.  This is the same.  There are quite a few times it appears our corners are getting toasted when in fact they are just trying to recover from a safety mistake.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
