This is probably already stated in this thread, but “starting” in the NFL is literally playing the first snap. Mayo is a run first LB. it makes sense. Shaq will play his usual LB spot when all three LBs are out— because why would we move two guys to new positions? When it’s nickel, I’m sure Mayo will go to the sideline.
