NFL executives share thoughts on Carolina Panthers’ draft class with ESPN’s Mike Sando

Their skill sets are the same. Neither has proven much in the NFL. Only difference is one had a horrible injury and the other didn't. Also if you thought Samuel was going to be 100% why not draft a guy that's tall, fast, and runs good routes?

Moore is a Hurney project pic. Could have had the prototype but no, we go with someone that had a lot of YAC playing at Maryland who doesn't look like he can catch deep balls. Sounds like a Panther WR.

that was supposed to be worley and bradberry. yet here we are.

It does feel similar and no question- Worley was a bust. But it’s a matter of perspective.

The biggest difference will be the prior seasons. When we drafted those two guys, we had just lost Norman. Obvious drop off followed and all the pressure fell on their shoulders for the struggles.

I can tell you there’s no way for our secondary to be worse than it was last year, so Jackson/Gaulden are already coming into a better(ish) environment. The pressure should not be directly placed on them and I think they will have a better chance to thrive because of it.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
