We Don't Need to Draft A QB

cause our future qb is already on our roster and his name is Matt Moore. So I don't see why you people are begging us to draft a qb every year cause our future already on the roster. Matt Moore will be a solid starter when he gets the chance to start for us which will not be too much longer if jake keeps messing up.

I swear you must be a lot smarter than me and know a lot of inside information because what i have seen of matt moore he isn't anything special.

he 2-1 as a starter and looked damn solid in those games.

how about draft a QB and let him and moore duke it out. I am tired of being thin at positions and only fixing them "after the fact" -- Thats the 1 thing fox has sucked at- "planning ahead"

We have been reactive at;

QB

RB

LB

DT

to name a few.

We need to learn to be PRO-ACTIVE- Be prepared!!!!

Competition is nOT a bad thing!

don't we still have cantwell on the ps? He did'n look to bad in the preseason esp in the nyg game.he could be a possible back up for us in the future.

Would you like to be Fox's apprentice because you sound just like him. I don't think he realizes but if you look back at the last 5 Super Bowls 4 of the winning starting QBs were 1st round picks. Big Ben twice and both the Mannings. The last time a UDFA starting QB won one was Warner with the rams almost a decade ago. Bet fox didn't realize that when he passed on Flaco. This league is quickly evolving to passing league and he keeps trying to recapture lightning in a bottle by signing scrubs and drafted guys in the 4th or later. Carr (which wasn't that great of a signing even before it blew up in our faces) was his only real attempt to bring in any real talent.

i think moore has a small chance of being something great

now to be another jake and have a few decent years as a starter thats something he has a good chance at.

Cantwell, i would like to see how he would do with starters i have a feeling it wouldnt be all that better then this years jake. Maybe after a few years of being worked into the system he could be something

    • I'm more curious if he can recover from his injury and still be a starting caliber olineman
    • Does this mean only topics from within the last year or any topics with posts from the last year? i.e. if there are any old threads we feel should be kept around for whatever reasons, would a bump of that thread before the update ensure it's kept around in full or do the posts from more than a year old still disappear?
    • I'm more intrigued at him becoming our future LG. There were some people who thought he was better suited to be a guard in the NFL to begin with.  Then if Freeling ends up being a legit LT, moving Ickey to LG could give us an incredibly strong left side of our OL for years to come. Ickey has only played on the Left side his whole career, both in college and the NFL, so I just wonder if keeping him on the left side, even if shifting inside, would be better than putting him outside on the right side. Just hoping him growing up a Panthers fan will make him want to stay here and move positions than enter FA so he can stay at LT somewhere else, particularly since LT is the big money position on the OL, so he likely can get paid more by someone else to play LT than play LG or RT here for us.
