"I don't know that and even if I did I probably wouldn't announce it quite yet," Fox said at his weekly press conference Monday at Bank of America Stadium. "We'll evaluate it and see who gives us the best chance heading out to Arizona... We'll do whatever it takes for us to start developing some confidence in the (passing) game, whether that is staying the same or making a change or if there's a viable option or not, those are all things we're evaluate just like we do at all positions. Sometimes it's a matter of executing better like our run game was a couple of weeks ago."

sounds like Delhomme starts to me

So how bad does Jake have to play in order to get benched? This Arizona game can either be Jake's wakeup call, or it could be the nail in the coffin if he lets the AZ playoff game enter his mind. I'd love to see Jake have a great game, but based on what we've seen the last couple of weeks if Arizona stops the run it's gonna be a long day again. One positive is our Defense is stout as of now, MAYBE Meeks will actually double Fitzgerald, or at least have the guys play in front of him instead of letting him run wild.

"We moved the ball and threw the ball well at times, but at the end of the day when it is four turnovers to none it's not a good formula in the National Football League. And that wasn't just all the quarterback play or the offense."- John Fox

J. Delhomme 27 44 325 61.4 7.4 2 16 0 3 55.6 <<< Jake's stat line from yesterday.

That right there is what pisses me off every week. Fox talks after every loss about turnovers killing us! Jake had 3 turnovers BY HIMSELF! How about growing a pair Fox and at least state the obvious? Is it really that hard? How can you win games when your starting QB turns the ball over an average of twice per game????

Any sane person can see that Delhomme's confidence is shaken, BAD!! Foxy has too much loyalty and it makes him look incompetent. Does he not understand that by benching Jake that could help him recoup by taking the pressure off of him to perform each week. John, If you bench him, that doesn't mean you can't bring him back out whenever you want. Give Delhomme a breather for a couple games. He obviously has had a rough year and needs a mental vacation on the bench. He's over thinking the position at this point.

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
