Kobe Thread

Kobrick did it again last night. Another brick 3 that couldve won the game late. NBA fans have been to conditioned to ignore his late game mishaps tho. Some guys reputations are much bigger than their performance.

You need to watch more closely. Last 2 minutes of the game Kobe went 3 of 4 for 7 points.

Hater glasses conmtinue not to work for you.

In fact, Kobe made a 3 pointer with 4 seconds left, the Lakers got the rebound at the 4 second mark after fouling but never cleared the ball up the floor and never got a shot off. But whatever fits your agenda.

so what, its sessions fault?

You're not paying attention.

Kobe got 5 rings but only because he played with Shaq and then was coached by Phil Jackson. He barely contributed to those titles.

Conversley, all losses fall squarley on the Mamba's shoulders.

If there was any "blame" to place in this game it would be for Andrew getting himself a 2nd technical and ejected when it wasn't necassary. Lakers could have used their best young player in the 4th quarter of this game.

And that miss was the shot that couldve won the game. Kobe's low IQ selfish play cost his team the game. He just cant stand the thought of one of his teammates getting all the glory. 10-27? The guy still dont believe in percentage, just attempts. AAU and prep coaches teach kids to play the exact opposite of how Kobe Bryant plays.

they won't see that its kobe's selfish play and poor shot selection that cost them the game. kobe would rather lose with big numbers then be outclassed by a chump like sessions and win

Not sure where you get that from.

Kobe is a competitor. One of the best the NBA has seen. But I don't think he mindfully cares about his teammates numbers, whether that be Bynum, Gasol, or Sessions compared to his. Kobe wants to win and he will do whatever it takes to do so. I am not sure why you say he'd rather lose with numbers than win with poor numbers, that's outlandish.

Now it may seem that way because he takes so many shots but that's a result of him not trusting his teammates. Is he right in thinking this way? No, not really. While none of his teammates are great scorers who can get their points on their own, they still have talent. You can call it low IQ, you can call it selfishness, you can call it stubbornness, but it won't likely change. It's Kobe and it's what got him to this point in his career. I will say it'd be nice if took better shots or trusted his teammates more.

Seriously KT, you have NO place posting in this thread. You obviously can't separate your hate from your posts. Just ridiculous....

You really know absolutley nothing about basketball do you?

Well other than how to troll a thread.

Who's your boy on the court, Lebron?

He's a 48% shooter for his career. But also a coward, not a closer and unless Bosch and DWade gets him a ring will never be an NBA Champ.

Kobe is a 45% shooter for his career, but is fearless in the clutch and has 5 rings.

Deal with it. connie_27.gif

    • It is hard to win in the NFL. I’m never going to put an * next to a Dub.
    • We had a very favorable matchup our o-line manhandles theirs. Even Etienne looked like he would have had a great game on his limited rushing opportunities.
    • I think that's part of the problem, he's spreading the ball around too much, many of them are the first read play calls, and on top of that, a large portion of them are purposefully called screens or other short passes. I just looked, the Cardinals are the only other team in the league right now without at least 3 players with 100+ yards receiving so far this year, with the majority of teams having 4 or more.  And even then, their #2 right now is McBride with over 200 yards. Our 2nd leading receiver this year has 108 yards (albeit with 4 more players with 82 or more). On the surface, that might not be as alarming as you might think, but when you add into it that Bryce is currently 6th in the league in pass attempts, and it's even more alarming that he hasn't gotten a 3rd player to 100 yards so far and his second highest is only 108. XL has 39 yards on 18 targets.  Renfrow has 82 yards on 24 targets.  Tremble has 87 on 16 targets.  Sanders has 92 on 14 targets. None of those are good enough, so why aren't we calling more plays with T-Mac as the first read and forcing the ball to him (and again, that's not me wanting my guy to get more targets, that's me wanting more targets for the only productive pass catcher so far this year, I'd feel the same no matter what that player's name was). All of this is why I have issues with Canales' play calling.  How do you have a player who had 73 yards in the first half and then you only give him 1 target in the 2nd half despite playing from behind the majority of that time? You can be happy about the win, happy about Dowdle getting 200 yards, but in a game where your QB threw it 30 times, I can't accept the above sentence in the same breath, that's just terrible play calling, which is on top of the already predictable play calling in general, which is also on top of boring play designs as well. Add it all up, and THAT is why I'm unhappy even after a win, not because "my guy" didn't have a bigger game.
