Thank you. I was looking at NFL.com when it happened and half the falcons fans were happy it happened. Nice to know you're all not a-holes ;)

I hate fans who are like that. They prefer their team to win when the opposing team has few of their good players hurt? Asshole.

And thanks for the classy post, Mr. White. Good to know there some fans like you that are not the type to wish a player is hurt so his team can win easier.

I'm not exactly going to be Time Magazine 'Man of the Year', but I just hate to see things like that happen. But you know what, Gross has stayed healthy for a long time, something that is quite hard for lineman to pull off. I would imagine he will recover better than most, because most linemen have had that happen to them at least once in their career. Turner and Smith also got dinged up today. I expect so see Smith back next week because he needed no help at all off the field, but Turner being a RB will probably see at least a week or two off.

Not going to get into the game stuff much cuz it probably belongs in another thread, but let's hope Gross didn't sustain an injury that will have any lingering effects. Whenever you see a guy get carted off, you just feel for the guy, and that could be anything from a high ankle sprain (nastier than you might think) to a broken ankle (ironically heals faster than a high ankle sprain sometimes from what I have heard). Granted ankle injuries aren't nice, but when a guy his size dings up a knee, there's a lot worse things that could come from that. Small consolation I'm sure, but hey at least its not an ACL tear or something. Good luck the rest of the way.

    • You are too harsh. Owners tell GMs what to do all the time. It doesn’t make someone “unfit”.  A man unfit for that job could not have had that 2025 draft.  And I am not trying to be belligerent I certainly don’t feel belligerent,  just trying to use some common sense. Tepper is the last guy that wants to give up on Young. The coach had WRs throwing fits on field and sidelines in view of everyone. He had to do it, but needed permission. I just can’t buy Tepper instigating that. Sorry.
    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
