Its hard being a Pantherfan sometimes but..

It is hard when you spend what little extra money you have on playoff tickets - and see the Panthers having homefield in their hands - And simply giving it over to an underserving team.

Defending Superbowl champs with the best record in the NFC who have played playoff (or playoff contending (Eagles)) teams in 8 of their last 9 games is undeserving?

Did you not watch the game? Did we not have the win under our belts? Yes we did hand the game over through our conservative playcalling and mental mistakes, The past is the past. I don't care what they did last yr. We all know we had that game won and gave it away. :incazzato:

I understand the frustration but when a team gives up 300+ yards rushing, I can't say they are deserving of the win either. Just playing Devil's advocate.

Its hard being a Panther fan? were 11-4, just imagine being a fan of teams like the Lions, Bengals, Bills, Saints, Browns, Raiders or Chiefs.

Um, 1-15? It seems like only yesterday. 0 and 8 and home. Still brings a tear to my eye. That last game of the season against the Cheetriots. Just me and 20,000 of my closest friends.

We are all just a bunch of coddled crybabies now: 8-0 at home and going to the playoffs! Woooooooooohoooooooooooooo!

something I never understood, I hate, I mean HATE watching football if the panthers aren't playing. i just could not care less about the outcome, so whats the point of watching at all. Panthers just change it all for me.

I understand that, But I'm a football fan also.

I still think the coaches should be escorted from the field at the end of the 3rd quarter to watch the conclusion from a tv room. Maybe leave equipment manager behind to aid relaying player decisions, as players run the game. Maybe something collective bargaining should push for. Or maybe just the Panthers should do this and leave the NFL guessing as to why the Panthers are so smart in the fourth quarter. Maybe the coaches could take acting lessons to keep up the impression they still are running the team during the 4th quarter. I think even sooner than 4th quarter the players know better than the coaches what the players can and can't do against the opposition.

    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
