Colt McCoy seriously a 2nd round pick?

Yes, there are questions about his arm strength and the fact that he does not play in a pro style offense.

However, QB's move up and down the board significantly based on their combine numbers and private workouts.

i watched a clip with Tim Hasselbeck and Trent dilfer a couple weeks ago about how the stock of Spread offense QB's is going up. They spoke of the % of how many plays are coming out of the shot gun with an empty backfield. In 2002 or 2003 only 38%ish of plays came out of the SG in the NFL. Most plays came from the QB lining up under center and dropping back during that time period. in 2009 almost 59% of QB play has come from a spread offense\SG. They expressed that this is the evolution of the game that could be a blessing for QB's coming out of college that ran a Spread type offense.

After I saw the piece by dilfer, I couldn't help but now notice how many teams are running a lot of offense this way. NE, Indy, Saints, Eagles just to name a few

** there is video on this conversation but I can't find it. Pretty good clip
