Game 41: Charlotte at Atlanta

HeatCheck

Recommended Posts

Charlotte Bobcats (21-19) @ Atlanta Hawks (27-14) 7:30 PM

Probable Starters

Bobcats

PG Felton

SG Jackson

SF Wallace

PF Diaw

C Mohammed

Hawks

PG Bibby

SG Johnson

SF Williams

PF Smith

C Horford

Last time these two met was back in November, where the Bobcats won convincingly 103-83. Both Atlanta and Bobcats are different teams now than the ones back in November. This game took place before Charlotte acquired Stephen Jackson. Raja Bell, coincidentally, happened to be the leading scorer for the Bobcats that night. Bobcats look to build on their confidence and ****** a game on the road tonight, something that hasn't been easy for them this year. (3-15 on the Road, 2 of them coming at the beginning of this year @ Miami and @ Cleveland)

Bobcats lead the overall series 13-8 (that is the most wins Bobcats have over any other team), Hawks with a 6-4 advantage at Phillips.

Go Bobcats!

If the Bobcats beat the Hawks at the highlight factory on a Friday night for their seventh straight win, I will finally give them some respect. Too bad I'm a Hawks fan though.

No body cares about you giving the cats respect, they HAVE respect from all the teams in the NBA, I promise you that.

Did you know that the only team in the NBA to beat the Cavs twice is Charlotte? That is how you earn respect and im not talking about from message board people like you but from actual nba players.

Easy there. I never claimed that my respect was required. It was just a statement and not meant to be any disrespect. :chillpill:

lol, no worries. I just havent seen many guys from others teams on this MB but I guess that in its own is a form of respect.

I'm on this board cause I'm a Panthers fan. Grew up in NC, currently reside in Atlanta. I was never much of a Hornets or Bobcats fan. I was a bigger Hawks fan as a kid even when I lived in NC, watching 'nique and spud webb. That's that.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
