i'm about 2/3 of the way through it and it's fantastic... really loving the characters. just got to the point that Barsavi is marching his way to Echo Hole, so poo's about to get serious

i'm more than likely going to order the second book here shortly so i have it in hand when i'm done with the first

Locke and Jean are an epic character duo...

fuging Amazon... they've got a good thing going with their $35+ orders = free shipping.  good for them anyway... not so much for me

 

just pre-ordered The Slow Regard of Silent Things and ordered Red Seas Under Red Skies, The Republic of Thieves, Hyperion and Wool.

I thought TSROST was already out?

I hope you like the Wool stuff... I really did.

 

I haven't read the Hyperion stuff though.

Amazon says TSRoST doesn't come out until 10/26 or 10/28... hopefully it's not that long, and now that I think about it, I hope Amazon doesn't hold the other books until that's out to ship them

 

wouldn't that be a bitch?  I just ordered RSURS because I've got less than 100 pages of Lies of Locke Lamora and then they hold on to it until TSRoST comes out... that would probably be my luck lol

Also, I just read that I have been pronouncing Jean's name incorrectly. It's "zhean" like a French accent, not "jeen" like my backwoods Johnston County mental reading voice reads...Totally makes me stumble everytime I am reading it now. Trying to train myself to read it correctly lol.

      Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!

      And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
