Doubletree Hotel Did me a Great Service

I screwed up and booked both nights Sat and Sun for the playoff game. I stupidly thought they would allow me to drop the night I did not need, when the date was finalised. I booked well in advance of the Panthers even making the playoffs to insure I would have one of the fine rooms of Doubletree that are only a short stager from BOA. This is not standard policy with the hotel industry. My own ignorance allowed me to make this terrible mistake. Thanks to the nice lady that is in charge of the reservations she allowed me to drop the Sunday night reservation for a small nominal increase in rate. Thanks Doubletree! GO PANTHERS!

I must add that ALL Charlotte's hospitallity industry is second to none! (Even the Police, of cource I've never been arrested there but probably should have been. ) I can't wait until the Nascar Hall of Fame opens. I hope everyone saw the Pics of it I posted in the Nascar section. It is at least 25 stories.

I actually know him from boards from back 7 and 8 years ago. He's alright. We all have our message board moments.

As was pointed out to him multiple times last night, this IS standard hotel industry policy yet he cannot understand this.

yeah - I know - think think I was actually the first one to point out that it was his error and not the hotel's. I just didn't get bent out of shape over it.

He still seems to think that it is only a Hilton chain or Doubletree policy as evidenced by this thread.

I've seen this before. ( I have a wife and three daughters.) It will pass in a few days. And she will forgive me.

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
