Raymond Felton... I'm sorry.

Dear Raymond Felton,

I am sorry for doubting you the last several years. I have now realized that the problem was me, not you. I have done alot of soul searching and I believe I have found out the epicenter of my frustrations.

I have always had two major beefs with you. One, you are not Chris Paul or Deron Williams. I had a hard on for both players in that draft, but the Bobcats decided to draft a UNC player. And that brings me to my second beef. I hate UNC and that is not going to change, but when you took that UNC uniform off, my feelings should have changed.

However, I am come to realize that the percieved shortcomings that I thought you possessed were actually my own.

When I see and hear comments about your play this one in particular.

Raymond Felton took blanket blame for the problem on the pick-and-roll, where Tyson Chandler dropped his pass late. Total class, when it really wasn't Felton's fault, and certainly wasn't all Felton's fault.

It makes me realize how you are an awesome teammate, and someone I would have loved to play with. Please re-sign with the Bobcats and continue to make me and other Bobcat's fans proud. We are lucky to have you.

Please forgive me, I promise I'll be better.

Love, BruceBrewski

Felton is a different player now than he was several years ago, but his leadership has always been there. However, Felton's shortcomings in his game (takes too many shots, not a good shooter, prone to the untimely TO) were very real. It took a HOF coach with a knack for getting the most from PGs to coach him up to where he should have been.

I personally always knew Felton was special. Having the right coach can only help him play a lot better. With how he was under Bickerstaff & Vincent, you can see why he was kinda not playing like he should be. With Brown here, we see the return of the "great" Felton from UNC. :)

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
